Laura Mercier Foundation Primer
Editor's Rating & Review
This pricey, fragrant primer promises to smooth all skin types and hold foundation all day. If you have normal or dry skin, the heavy white cream takes a while to sink in before you can lay your foundation, and it might be too much for oily skin. The oil-free formula is a major plus (the directions say it can go on without moisturizer). Still, if it really wanted to protect the skin, it should boast some level of sunscreen.

OK
I like it better than SB brand. It's like a light lotion which to me is better than a serum. Less slippage of makeup. There may be a cheaper brand that works better so I'll keep shopping. Wouldn't bother buying again. — 4 years, 12 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

just okay
I am a big fan of Laura Mercier products. I received a deluxe sample of this in a gift with purchase. I used this once and haven't used it since. This isn't to say it is a bad product just unremarkable. It didn't make my skin feel silky like other primers I have used before and I won't purchase this again unless they reformulate the product. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Try Oil-Free
Since I am satisfied with Laura Mercier Foundation Oil Free Primer, I bought their regular version for my mom who has dry skin. To compare the two products, I tried this a few times. The staying power of my foundation (worked for both liquid and powder) is definitely prolonged. But there is a certain difference in the consistency. This primer feels heavier and stickier. My mom also thinks that it is a bit sticky. So if you have oily skin, try their Oil Free primer. — 3 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
