I tried it too and now my hair is orange with white roots!
I was excited I thought I'd be able to go blonde blonde. In the past of gone blonde but I really love the white blonde color and when I saw the package it was exactly what I wanted. Too bad it doesn't cpme out the same as the package!! Now I'm not sure what to do!! I even followed the steps thinking I needed to add I toner like it mention! im 45 min in the process right now... maybe to early to tell.... oww im getting nervous reading all these reviews because i literally have black asian hair and my hair is getting light but its looking really ashhy so far. i cant blame clairol if it turns out looking crappy cuz we all have different hair types... the results will probably depend on the type of hair you have (thick oily dry dark lig...read moreht thin) its okay but my hair isnt taking it too fast...i might need another round of bleach or something just to get it to the blonde it should be...=( even the salon says my hair is super black and bleaching always turns me orange...clairol just confirmed it for me=(This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

i have naturally auburn hair that I have been dying a darker brown for the last 4 years. I wanted to try something new since I had stopped dying for a while and letting my natural hair grow out some and got it healthy. So i attempted to be blonde and thats NOT AT ALL what I gor. my roots were so white, I thought I has accidentally balded myself. the middle section was yellow ansd the bottoms faded...read more into bright orange into dark orange/ black from my low lights. IT TOOK 4 boxes of dye to remotely fix it and cover all the bleach spots. I WILL NEVER try this again. If you want dry bright orangish yellow hair then this is the product for you!
When I was in the store I told my mom, "Look this can make your hair light no matter what your hair color is! I was so excited because my hair was a dark brown with some reddish tones in it. My roots were just plain dark brown. Then when i dyed it my hair ended up dark orange, so I dyed it again and now my hair is bright yellow on top orange in the middle and honey blonde on the bottom! I wis...read moreh it was all honey blonde instead! Anyways I can't even get it fixed at the salon because my hair is way to damaged now and it used to be really soft. love being a blonde!
i am a 32 year old male with short medium brown hair. i have a lot of auburn undertones and colorists always have trouble bleaching out my hair. not with Born Blonde Maxi!! apply and 90 minutes later it is bright whitish blonde...i use Clairol's Born Blonde toner, Silent Snow, and after my hair is this amazing platinum blonde...everybody compliments me on it...This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

Orange!
I used this on my dark auburn hair and it turned a orangy blonde, even after 2 kits and waiting 24 hours in between. I used toner and it still had that orange look. Now I have to go to the salon and spend a fortune to get it fixed. Ever since I was younger I have wanted to be blonde, however, even with the professionals it had been orange. Fast forward 15 years, I thought there had been advances in the hair coloring industry like everything else. NOPE. tomorow I will go to a very expensive salon to fix the orange despite the color test looking good... who knew!
