Love hate relationship
I bought this as a lark, and was pleasantly surprised that I actually liked it, and it cost $5.00, but having said that, If I wear it in humid weather it melts off my face and gives me a very shiney face. However my skin seems to be getting drier and drier by the day, and now it's winter here in the NE and I have found that this product is actually a soothing relief for my face. It is light cover, and along with a touch of powder gives my face a clear fresh look that lasts a fairly long time. I have a light/medium skin tone, and bought "light #5" and it is good match. Very lightweight.
I have never buy it, but I use it once from a friend and I liked the texture a lot, very lightweight for everyday use. Not for those with Oily/Combination Skin
So I can see the appeal of this foundation. It is very light and you do not feel like you are clogging your pores when you slather it on. However, I have pretty oily skin and this foundation highlighted that. Even with a heavy powder to set it, my skin was very oily by day's end. I got this in the mail of all the shades to see which one was a match for my skin tone. I ended up buying the bottle because it says that it controls shine but it did just the opposite!!! Liked the price but not the result
I brought this on sale at walgreens for about 3 dollars, so I gave it a try. The only foundation I use!
I love Maybelline New York Pure Makeup. I use Light #3 Natural Ivory for my pale, pink-toned skin. I love this because I have oily, problem skin and it goes on so clean and light, but it also dimishes the look of acne and blemishes without looking cakey or noticable. It never feels oily or greasy, and I have very little problem with it rubbing off on clothing, even the white chef jackets I wear to work. I use it every day! The only thing is, if you have a long day, you may have to re-apply or touch up just a little. I much rather touch up a little before dinner than deal with cakey or sticky-feeling foundation! And to top it all off, I can this foundation for under 6 dollars at the drug store! decentt foundation!
i wore this foundation all through my high school career! i didnt have any problems with it but all of a sudden i began breaking out, I blamed the make up but just recently I switched back to it just to see how it worked and i was not disappointed! It lasts all day and doesnt make you too oily, which I love, however, it does tend to dry out easily even if the cap is only off for a couple of hours! It leaves you with medium-full coverage depending on how much you use and it has a ton of shades to pick from!
