This is just very poor quality makeup, pure and simple. I am a big fan of Covergirl, but these aren't good. The colors don't coordinate well, the shadows crease and crumble, and don't blend well on the skin. Even the compact is cheaply made and falls apart. This Enhancer Kit is just OK. If you layer on primer underneath, it will stay on better...not great, but better. There are actually better Cover Girl eye shadows. Pigments are too light, doesn't stay on, and it breaks down in the compact. these eyeshadows are fairly good quality. they are pigmented, but not as much as a MAC eyeshadow or even maybelline. the packaging is not sturdy at all! i had never dropped this before and the plastic lid does not stay on anymore. the shadows have not cracked, yet. also, even with a base these shadows fade during the day. its very cheap, and i don't think i would buy again. maybelline has much better quality shadows. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 4 people said helpful

I was really surprised by how much I disliked these kits as I really like the 3-kit shadows by CG. These had a gritty texture, even for the non-shimmer shadows. They dusted poorly and had no staying power. I made the mistake of getting one that had a glitter shadow - which I did not realize until the package was opened and the product put on the skin. I have used the CoverGirl quad shadows for many many years now. I have hazel eyes and use the coffee shop set of colors. i find that they go on well and stay on, and I use the darker color wet as an eyeliner. These shadows are way too dry and the colors really don't go on nicely. They make me look like I have lines I don't have.
