Editor Review

Rated a 8.5

The name of Urban Decay's Baked Bronzer fits on many levels. One, the pressed powder is literally baked in an oven. Two, a few swipes with a powder brush makes you look as if you've been baking in the sun. And three, the chocolate smell is reminiscent of baking brownies (yum). Undeniably cute, the product also performs well. The matte bronzer blends into skin easily, delivering a natural, tan look that lasts all day. For more intense color, try applying the powder with a wet sponge. (Tip: The bronzer can double as a lip or eye color if applied with a small, wet brush.)

    great for pale skin

I love this bronzer! I have pale skin, blue eyes, and very dark brown hair. This bronzer is natural looking and not shimmery. I use the "Toasted" shade and will never use another bronzer again. Not orangey, like a high-priced, mineral "bronzer" I used. May 16, 2008, 7:20 pm

    Great for pale skin

Eve though this could be used on a variety of skin tones, I am very fair skinned and found this to be a great bronzer. It's not orange and not too dark. It also has just the right amount of shimmer to help brighten your face. $24 may sound like alot to spend, but I've found a little can go a long way (especially when used w...ith a light hand) April 29, 2008, 1:24 pm

    Love Love Love

I cannot live without this bronzer! Its the only bronzer I've been able to find that doesn't have shimmer in it (if you get the Toasted one) and I use it everyday to add some color to my face. It goes on smooth and doesn't have any weird smells (manufacturers like to scent powders). I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! June 10, 2009, 11:19 am

    Been wearing this for years!

    by omgkelsey (8 reviews)
I am OBSESSED WITH THIS PRODUCT! It's perfection in a bronzer. I think it goes along well with any type of skin, but I am darker complected and it truly adds a better blend to my face, neck, and chest. It's also awesome when you haven't been tanning for a while and want to wear a dress, it goes great on the legs for definit...ion! I tried some other brands of bronzer when I couldn't get my hands on this stuff when I moved, and I can't believe that I ever went without it. there is truly no other bronzer like it! Very Dissapointed!

    by ErikaU (14 reviews)
My sister (the bronzer queen) recently purchased the Urban Decay Baked bronzer. Ive been meaning to try it so I borrowed it from her, and am very dissapointed with how orange and fake this bronzer looks! The shimmer is too intense for the day and the color is anything BUT natural! I tried using it everyday for a week and wa...s more and more dissapointed each time. Looks like Ill continue my search for the perfect broner. . :( August 8, 2008, 8:49 am

    great bronzer

Like alot of the other reviewers, I have fair skin and this brozer is great. I doesn't look orange or unnatural at all. Nice color. A little goes a long way, so even though it's pricey, it will last awhile. July 30, 2008, 6:40 am

This is my Holy Grail Bronzer. It is a great product, it doesn't make me look dirty and it doesn't muddy up my skin tone. The packaging is great, it lasts very well on my oily skin, and it is a great value, you don't need a lot of product to give a nice glow to your skin. It is well worth the price. • Our bronzer’s name is a bit of a triple-entendre. First of all, it gives you a nice baked, toasty glow without the threat of skin damage. Second, it’s literally baked in an Italian oven on a tiny terra cotta disc for 24 hours, then hand-finished by a factory full of motherly Italian women. The result is an ultra-smooth, sheer-finish bronzer that can be used wet or dry and always goes on streak-free. And third, well, if you don’t get the joke, we’re just not going to tell you.   Apply dry with a fat brush for a light dusting of summer sun, or use it wet with a sponge for a deeper St. Tropez shade. Because the formula is cooked, not pressed, the powder returns to a micro-fine feel after being wet - without glazing!
