Estee Lauder Pure Color Crystal Lipstick Reviews

Beautiful Colors, Great Texture
I was wary of these at first, but once I tried "Passion Fruit," I realized that it is sheer and shiny and moisturizing. I've collected more colors since and love the texture; I tend to get a lot of compliments while wearing these. — 3 weeks, 4 days agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Creamy Subtle Color
This lipstick is so creamy and moisturizing. I love how it's not a harsh color, but instead goes on very sheer and shiny with that fig smell and taste. I have Plum Fizz and Crystal Beige. Beautiful. The color that shows through looks a lot darker than what shows up on your lips. The quality of the product and the classy beauty of the packaging make the price worth it. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Lipstick For Women
This lipstick goes on smooth and sheer and shiny. I have Plum Fizz and Crystal Beige. It goes on creamy with a bit of shimmer, not sloppy or harsh. I can glide it over dry lips and literally feel moisturized. Love it! It is totally worth the 22 dollars for a moisturizer with color. (Don't be frightened by the dark color you see in the tube because it goes on sheer and natural) And the packaging is beautiful! — 4 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

OOOoooooh shiny!!!
Love the hues, the colors and the texture is just wonderful, not sticky or greasy!! Eye catching and feels good on the lips! I hate that lipstick is getting up there in price. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Nice but.....
Nice colors and texture. Case a big big. Doesn't stay as well as other sheers I have. Price tag silly. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Smelly
The color and the packaging is pretty but other than that, this was a miss for me. I have this in Tiramisu & the color would look great on lots of tones. I know it's supposed to go one sheer and I usually wear sheer lip colors so that isn't a problem but I really had to layer it on to even reach a sheer wash of color. Maybe it's because my lips are dark? Oh, it's also quite moisturizing. As pretty as the color is though, I would have returned it (if only I had the gift receipt...) because of how strongly it smelled & tasted. I could literally taste it even without licking my lips. The weird thing is that scented cosmetics don't usually bother me. It has a very strong & chemical-y version of a fig scent and if it actually smelled like fig I would not mind. Also, for the price of this lipstick, I would expect that it would last longer than 1-2 hours. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

almost perfect pink
It moistures my lips so I like it a lot! Its not sticky and feels good. I use Crystal Pink, I got it as a EL sample. I just wish it would shimmer a bit less so it would look more natural and I would look younger. the coverage its buildable and I like it sheer, because it looks like wearings tinted lip balm. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Wish it wore longer
Estee Lauder in general has held a key to my heart for a while. Their lipsticks in particular seem to always look good. This particular line has great color and a gorgeous light shimmer, though it doesn't seem to stay on as long as some of their other styles. I've noticed that their shimmers wear faster for some reason, though not enough to deter me from loving them! — 1 week, 2 days agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Nice, but...
The colors are fantastic and they definitely are very moisturizing, but they don't last long and the lipstick breaks easily. I love this lipstick and have several colors, but I think it is over-priced considering lasting power and quality control issues. The fragrance can be over-powering as well. — 6 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Laminated crystalline pigments
That's right Ladies, this is high tech stuff. According to an executive at Lauder, the pure color crystal comes from a special process whereby they laminate the pigments with a crystalline coating that gives them a sort of 3-D effect. Besides that, the product smells like fresh figs (think Fig Newton if you don't know what fresh figs smell like) is creamy and moisturizing and is designed to be the "sheer" and shiny version of their most recent lipsticks. I got a beautiful sample myself in a mirrored golden case which they honestly should sell it in, and it is everything they promise, PLUS it includes a lip plumper. My only criticism is of course the luxury price and this doesn't last very long. However, the plumping and the moisture stay, even if the glitz wears off. — 1 year, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful
