Editor's Rating & Review
Each pretty compact contains five shades to be worn all over, claiming to deliver a "soft glow." Perhaps too soft -- the light shimmer is barely there, and isn't buildable for more luminosity, which would be nice for the price. (Stila Illuminating Finishing Powder delivers more glow.) We saw no difference among the individual colors on skin, and by mid-day, the glow faded. Still, a viable option for those with tricky texture issues such as acne scarring, where high shimmer is a problem.
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact Reviews
Spend it elsewhere.Yes these bricks are beautiful to look at but not to wear. TOOOOO much shimmer and aged my face ewww!! I emailed a Bobbi Brown consultant to be told that I was applying it wromg and had to apply it with their special brush only. Needless to say it went back to the store, I was not born yesterday and know that you don't have to have the company's brush to apply a company product. Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick CompactI have the beige shimmer brick, and I use it on my eyes as a shadow. It is very subtle and I love the texture. It blends well, it builds well, and it lasts pretty well considering how oily I am. I haven't used it on my face yet, but I may get brave and use it as a shimmer high light for evening wear. I may invest in a few more colors of this, I am really happy with the one I do have, and I find that I really like it. — 4 years, 9 months agolesa5363 | 348 reviews
Not A Good Choice For Mature SkinI once wouldn't leave home without a swish of Bobbi Brown Shimmer. Now that my skin has matured, the shimmer highlights the "crinkles" instead of contouring my face. Not a good product for mature skin. I passed this on to my 24-year-old daughter and she loves it. Without a wrinkle on your skin, it looks fabulous on her. It gives her skin a slight luminosity. — 5 years agogirlwomanbeautybrainsblog | 232 reviews
