November 12, 2007, 12:23 pm Bobbi Brown’s shimmer bricks may one of the most standout products of the line, and I know there is a definite cult following of these compact gems. They’re intended to be used either as a blush as a highlighter on cheeks or even as individual eyeshadows. Who doesn’t love a multitasking compact? Pink Quartz Shimmer Brick comes as part of the Holiday 2007 collection, and it’s adorable with its pink packaging (on the inside), and the shades are gorgeous. It gives you a precious pink glow, just the faintest hint of color, with lots of shimmer. The colors themselves make for great muted holiday looks that are neutral or pink based. -- Temptalia.com5 of 5 people found this review helpful.

I don't typically like shiny or shimmery facial products because they emphasize my already large and visible pores, however this powder gives just the right amount of sheen. Lovely shimmer, but light on pigment
by FauxFlush (8 reviews)These products give a lovely, glamorous shimmer when used judiciously. Be careful if you use them in the daylight, they can make you look like a disco ball if applied too heavily. I feel that unless you pair this product with a fairly heavy eye look, blush will still be necessary because the actual pigment is very sheer. ... December 11, 2007, 12:31 pm These products give a lovely, glamorous shimmer when used judiciously. Be careful if you use them in the daylight, they can make you look like a disco ball if applied too heavily. I feel that unless you pair this product with a fairly heavy eye look, blush will still be necessary because the actual pigment is very sheer. My biggest problem with this product was that the rows of color crumbled and mixed in with each other. It didn't retain it's lovely distinct rainbow look for as long as I would have liked.3 of 3 people found this review helpful.

Not A Good Choice For Mature Skin

Not a good product for mature skin. I passed this on to my 24-year-old daughter and she loves it. Without a wrinkle on your skin, it looks fabulous on her. It gives her skin a slight luminosity.2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

I also have Brownie, which I don't like, it's a little too "muddy" for my fair complexion and I found it too glittery, but it would probably be lovely on someone else.2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

Sophisticated Shimmer
by FaceCandy (3 reviews)There's a definite reason why there's 6 or 7 versions of the Shimmer Brick out- everyone loves them. They can be used separately as eye shadows or together, as a blush or highlighter. I have the Pink one, which is nice as a blush. Rose Quartz is my favorite though, it compliments my olive skin nicely. I sweep a fluffy brush... The look is subtly shimmery.2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

I love how this stuff looks when you brush it on the old cheekbones. I wear no other powder/makeup on my face itself, just a little bit of this stuff. Really helps to "carve out" some angles in the face and make the bone structure look prettier... I don't really have this naturally, so it is very cool to see. I do... I don't notice much shimmer at all, though, so if you want to glitter-up, maybe try something else.2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

I use it as a blush enhancer and bronzer during the day for a nice glow, and put it all over my neck and shoulders for evening. It lasts all day, and the individual colors can be used as eyeshadows. It also lasts a long time, which makes it worth the money. I use the Apricot coloring. Just be careful you don't go overboard, or you can be too shiny!!2 of 2 people found this review helpful.
