The shimmer shades are highly pigmented and I love using them as eyeshadows (too shimmery for my cheeks). However the matte shades are more sheer and I love using them for my cheeks for adjustable sunkissed look, that can go from light tan to dark tan, so you don't have to go out and buy multiple colors as you get more tanned.
