Proactiv Repairing Treatment Reviews

I don't even know what to say about this.
LittleBunny (393 reviews)I guess that Proactiv must work for some specific group of people, but I don't know who they are. I saw the pictures in the commercials and the results looked good, but this just turned my skin red and shiny, tight, itchy and irritated. Oh, and it bleached my clothes and pillowcase. That really gave me pause-- I wasn't sure I wanted to put a product that could take the color out of fabric onto my skin. Pass on this. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

I Love Proactiv!
powerwoman033 (509 reviews)As a 37 year old, I STILL have acne! I have been using the Proactiv 3 step system for 3 or 4 years. The Repairing Lotion is part of a system that has worked for me. I have found that consistency is key with any acne system. If you use the system everyday, you will see a difference. If you are not consistent, you will not see results. There is no cure for acne, only ways to treat it. Remember, acne has a 2 week cycle and you will probably break out more at first. Give it time and you should see results. This lotion does stain, so be careful! — 2 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Ok...not really
sweettpea29 (205 reviews)Since this comes with the kit, I figured might as well use it. This baby burned. I wouldn't use this again, even if you paid me. — 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Not for skin over 25
italiaca (222 reviews)I fully agree with another review that said this product isn't meant for skin over 25. When I first used proactiv, it worked great and I felt like my skin was more 'under control'. However, the older I got, the less it worked and then my skin got too dry. The products made it worse and I ended up stopping use of proactiv. Glad it works for some, but I will not use again. — 3 years, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Clogged my skin up.
pure.life (323 reviews)It was nice at first b/c I found the BP to be drying out my skin. However after continuous use, it started to clog up my pores so I had more acne than ever! — 4 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Stings like crazy
beautyguru_24_7 (273 reviews)My skin would turn red after I used this lotion and I don't have sensitive skin. I did try their sensitive skin line and had much better results, but their 'normal' line was too much for my skin. The lotion in either line isn't moisturizing though, and has no SPF. — 3 years, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

good for emerging acne
LaurelJ (152 reviews)I have acne-prone skin, and I tried the Proactiv line. I did not care for the line as a whole, but I do keep a bottle of this hand for those times when I can feel a pimple starting to emerge. A little dab of this does the trick, and keeps it from erupting into a huge whitehead as long as I catch it on time. I works for my son as well. I won't use this on my entire face daily, as I found it to be way too strong, but I do keep a bottle of it around for the occasional break out. It works better for me as a spot treatment — 8 months, 4 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Worked for me....
MLC512 (272 reviews)I think the biggest misconception when using Proactiv is that people think they can incorporate other products into the system. In doing that, you breakdown what the system was created to do...work together. By nature, I'm a skeptic and I want miracle results, but being a little older, I decided to give the Proactiv system a 30 day trial....and be patient with it. At the end of 30 days....my skin glowed. It was clean, my pores looked awesome....actually, you could hardly see them. You have to be patient and you have to use the system together. Besides, there's a money back guarantee with Proactiv. You have nothing to loose but acne! — 10 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Did Nothing for My Skin
EireItalia (271 reviews)This product did nothing for my skin as far as balancing or preventing break-outs. After I discontinued use of this system my face began to get better. I was not satisfied with the ProActiv system. — 3 years, 12 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Yikes! Get It Off, NOW!
Starluxe (298 reviews)Open the bottle and you'll instantly smell the chemicals. Benzoyl peroxide never smells appealing but this bottle particularly reminded me of a strong Alka-Seltzer product or TheraFlu because it reeks of a medicine cabinet. I may be over emphasizing the aggravation of the scent but the results were just as unappealing. First of all, I experienced heightened irritation to my skin and constant redness as well as dryness. I found that irritation lead to even more acne as stress resulted and almost a burning feeling whenever I applied this. After I stopped using this, redness was diminished and my skin was relieved. Not only did this product proved itself ineffective in my condition but that it has the same ingredient that fights acne as other items found on the shelves of Wal-Mart, Rite Aid, CVS, Target, and other drug and grocery stores. Is there really a need to pay a higher price for something that is just marketed through media and endorsed by celebrities? Not really. — 4 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 13 people said helpful
