I can't believe I found an eyeliner that actually stays on my eyes!

    by Aneechka (13 reviews)
My eyes become aggravated from everything and anything, and constantly water/ sting/ hurt in general which doesn't bode well with my love or practice of decently heavy, fun makeup. That being said, this actually stays on my eyes! Even on the inside of my lash line/ waterline for hours! I have this in black and violet, but u...nfortunately the violet doesn't stay on my bottom waterline nearly as well as the black does; it looks great on top though. You need a tiny amount to entirely line both eyes so it lasts for a while, making the $15 price tag not much at all. It doesn't come off my eyelid until I take it off (with makeup remover it's not that hard, either) and even with my watering eyes in stays for hours on bottom. If your eyes don't water I'm presume it'll stay on even longer. April 21, 2008, 7:15 pm

    Amazing staying power

    by ModernDayWriter (165 reviews)

This eyeliner is amazing in terms of staying power. Althought not completely water/smudge proof, it really lasts and lasts once it sets. By the end of the day, it looks nearly the same as when I put it on in the morning. I've went out dancing all night with this eyeliner on and when the sun came up, it was still immaculate.... It takes a little bit longer to learn to apply it properly, but once you get the hang of it, this eyeliner will really grow on you. Perfect for making precise lines. I use the 266 angled brush to make picture perfect cat eyes. I use Blacktrack the most, but also have Graphic Brown for days when I want to look a little more subtle. I also own Iris Eyes, which is a light purple color. I'm a bit unhappy with it because it barely shows against my skin. Stick to the dark colors! Lastly, it's really economically friendly too. One of these little jars will literally last forever! It only takes a tiny little bit, even for thicker lines. February 24, 2008, 1:33 pm

love liquid liner and this is extra easy to use

    by IvyOMG (25 reviews)
    Trusted Review
I use this with my 209 brush and it's amazingly easy. Before this, every time I'd use liquid liner, it'd be gone after about 5 uses. This one lasts and a little goes a long way. It's very smooth and though liquid liner seems to be the only liner which doesn't give me raccoon eyes by noon (powder liner comes in second), thos...e other liners I've tried have always cracked on my lids which I find looks pretty gross. The color pay off is unsurpassed and fluidline comes in so many beautiful saturated colors that even though I stick with basic blacktrack for now, I plan to experiment with some colors like blue peep. Best Gel/Cream Liner On The Market!

    by shriekingviolet (76 reviews)

I love these things! I've been using them since MAC brought them out a few years ago. They come in a lot of great colors (as opposed to similar products from other lines that only have a few), last all day, and are easy to apply. They have a good consistency right out of the pot too in that they're neither too wet or too... dry. My only qualm is that some shades are more pigmented than others, and while with most shades you can get a nice opaque line in just one swipe, there are some that take a little more work to get the color pay off you want. I've tried gel liners from Stila, Bobbi Brown and L'Oreal's HiP lines and I can say with all certainty that this is by far the best one of the bunch. I'll keep buying them for as long as they keep making them. December 12, 2007, 10:02 pm

toss that pencil and pick up a brush!

    by Tramrak (2 reviews)
this is my first journey into gel eyeliner, and i must say i'm very impressed! i purchased this e/l and use it with the MAC 209 brush. it works extremely well, and i can't believe it really does stay on my waterline!!! i knew from reading reviews on it that it was supposed to, but i still couldn't believe that it stayed on ...even while i watched the finale of one of my favorite shows and bawled my eyes out! i'm truly amazed! it looks great going on, very black, and very smoooooth. it just glides right on and looks great, and this is coming from a person who is eyeliner-challenged. i'd say this is MUCH easier to apply than pencil or regular liquid liner. and using the brush to apply it doesn't only make it easier, it makes it more fun! you feel like an artist! not to mention the fact that this has been a real lifesaver (well, my makeup 'life') for me. i have blonde eyelashes and before this i could NEVER do the black eyeliner look because you would always see a noticeable gap between the line of the eyeliner and my mascara'd lashes (you'd see the blonde lash roots peeking out in between). it was very upsetting because i love smokey eyes and could never do them. well, since finding this and honing my skills, smokey eyes are now possible. first i use the 209 brush to paint on a very thin line as close to my lashline as possible. i let it dry for a few moments, and then i curl my lashes. after this but before mascara, i use a firm, square tipped 'push' brush to kind of push the liner into the roots of my lashes and this gets it deep enough in to cover up the blonde-ness. then i apply mascara and voila! no more gap between my roots and liner. i really hope someone else who has this problem reads this, because it has helped me so much. Currently my favorite eyeliners

    by zernelle (130 reviews)
    Top 100 ReviewerTrusted Review
When I first purchased this product, I had to practice a bit before I perfected the application. It still takes me longer to apply this than to apply a pencil liner, but I much prefer the end result of the Fluidline. My only complaint is that the liner always disappears by the end of the day on the outer corners of my eyes.... I'm not sure if this a result of rubbing my eyes or just my oily eyelids. However, I don't find that pencil liners last any better, so this complaint isn't a deal breaker for me. These are currently my favorite eyeliners, but I wish they had more neutral, matte shades, a la Bobbi Brown. For this reason, I'm going to try the BB next. Ingredients: isododecane, cyclopentasiloxane, polyehtylene, trimethylsiloxysilicate, disteardimonium hectorite, propylene carbonate, tocopheryl acetate, retinyl palmitate, lecithin, caprylyl glycol, triethoxycaprylylsilane, hydrogenated polyisobutene, phenyl trimethicone, ceramide 2, hexylene glycol, barium sulfate, bht, phenoxyethanol. May contain: mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxides, carmine, chromium hydroxide green, chromium oxide greens, ultramarines, blue 1 lake. December 3, 2007, 3:50 pm

    Love it

    by WordsandNumbers (2 reviews)
My first fluidline was Blitz and Glitz. I thought Blacktrack might be too harsh for my 30+ eyes, so I wanted something a little softer, which B&G is. Since then, I have acquired Graphic Brown and Macroviolet and Brassy. My favorite is definitely Graphic Brown because it is a dependable, everyday neutral. I have haze...l eyes, so Macroviolet is stunning to wear when I feel like playing up my eyes. Brassy-I gave to my teen daughter because I could never figure out how to use it in a complimentary way. Only problem I have had with the consistency of fluidlines is that my B&G has nearly dried up before I am halfway through it, but the other three have stayed usable. November 24, 2007, 3:18 pm

    amazing

    by iamaam2 (2 reviews)
This liner is the best-I use it to create an "audrey hepburn" look with a tiny eyeliner brush. It does not wear off through anything-swimming, sweat, whatever it may be and it will not smudge or flake or smear. It can also be used as a base for eye shadows. The only down side is that it tends to dry up, making it ...kind of sticky. But overall another great product from MAC May 22, 2008, 7:55 am

    Dance the Night Away!

    by Starluxe (300 reviews)
    Top 100 ReviewerTrusted Review
I'm fearful of cream or gel eyeliners, just terrified. I always remained faithful to a pencil but one day at the MAC counter, I finally had to talk to the associate about my sneezing or blinking problem. As odd as that sounds, I was referring to how my eyeliner smudges regardless what the labels from the companies state, ...I'd have racoon eyes by mid day and bare eyed by evening. She opened this tiny glass jar of black gel and swore it had lasted her the entire evening while she was out clubbing with her girlfriends the past weekend. Still skeptic, she applied it to her wrist and let it dry for a bit and tried to smudge it with her finger; it stayed put. Ok, I'll go for the challenge. So I went home and purchased a fine eyelining brush from Sephora and applied this. I didn't dare to look in the mirror all day, I waited for someone to stay anything to me instead. Alas, before washing my face, I saw the precisely drawn lines on my lash lines still perfectly there and hadn't budged yet my oily skin shined which means it is a superb eyeliner. Four months later, the jar still looks barely untouched and I use this almost daily. It really is so much product for the price paid. I probably won't be returning to the pencil unless I can find a pencil that does exactly what this gel eyeliner does. As for beginners, they may have a tough time using this because it requires precision application and a very thin yet firm brush to tightline the lashlines. Even more exciting news - they come in more colors than just plain black and brown. May 3, 2008, 5:10 am
