Such a multi-tasker!
This is not just an eyeshadow so don't think that it's way too expensive. If you choose a color light enough for your skintone, this also becomes a highlighter and eyeshadow base. Worth every penny!
I have a paint pot in 'bare study' and I love it! It's a really pretty shimmery flesh color. It works really well by itself for a sheer look, and also is great as a primer under other shadows. Doesnt do much for me
I heard great reviews on the painterly paint pot, so i went out and bought one for myself. The first one i purchsed went completely dry really quickly. It turned into a thick paste that i couldnt do anything with. So after this i swore i never would buy another one, until a guy at the mac counter convinced me to try it again. He said i probably had a bad paint pot. So i bought another one, this one has stayed creamy, which i liked. I used it along sometimes and under my shadow, but i dont really see a big difference. Okay Base, Awful Primer
I purchased the shade is Soft Ocre in hopes of using it as an actual primer and not just a base. First time I used this Paint Pot my eyeshadow creased terribly and I was instantly disappointed. I then decided to just use it as a base because it could have creased on account of my extremely oily eyelids. During the warmer months in New Jersey it works as a great base when used with one of my favorite shadows, Heaven by Too Faced. But, during the cold months, when many people's face are naturally dryer, I cannot use it at all. It clings to every wrinkle or dry path on my eyes and is super uncomfortable. You would also think since it is so dry on my eye it would not crease, but it does. Regardless of the weather I have experimented with the amount I apply, how I apply it, and where on the eye I apply it and no matter what it creases. OMG it works better than ani other primer ..it hold the eye shadow all day long and looks amazing on it own ... And a is that even if you will use it every day it will take you a really long time to use it up !! Great Product
I have the paint pot 'painterly' and for my complexion it makes a great base/lid color. doesn't work for me
I bought it as an eye shadow primer. I find it difficult to apply, it seems dry and I have to pull my eyelids to cover them with the product. And I get crease anyway, in my opinion even faster that when I'm not wearing it.
