Basic Eye Cream
I received a deluxe sample of this and have been using it steadily around my eyes at night. It goes on smoothly, blends easily and truly hydrates my eye area without any burning or irritation. It doesn't do anything else (I think most eye creams can't do much more than this anyway) but it doesn't claim to do anything else either. This is also meant to be a nice primer for under eye concealer but during the day, I prefer to use an eye cream with an SPF. I would not purchase a full size version of this because it's not worth spending the money at Bobbi Brown on such a basic product. I want to like it...but...
The first time I used it I was impressed by how thick and smooth it was, until I suddenly felt like my eye was burning. At first I thought I was crazy or just imagining it, but when I applied it to my other eye it had that same burning feeling. What IS that? Stinging, horrible PAIN
"It's not the cream, it's your eye area, it's too dry," the BB saleswoman insisted as I squirmed in my chair, waiting for the stinging to subside. She loaded me up with samples, confident I'd return in a week to purchase the full size. Instead, I was treated to a full week of eye area pain, thanks to BB's vicious little cream. Might be Good if It Didn't Burn So
On application this eye cream seemed like it would be great. It was a thick, creamy texture and seemed promising. Not long after application, however, it started a burning and stinging on my eyelids and outer corners of eyes. Another reviewer mentioned a saleslady telling her this occurred because the eye area was too dry. NOT so. The cream simply has an ingredient(s) that irritate some people's skin. I gave this product a few more nights of testing and each night I experienced the same burning/stinging. My eyelids and outer corners were even sensitive and burning throughout the day. I don't have sensitive skin, either. Rather than feeling hydrated, my eye area felt dry and uncomfortable. I do not have dry skin and have not experienced this with any other eye cream I have tried. I have discontinued use (which you should do in this case) and I would not purchase or recommend this product. Does exactly what it says and nothing more...but for the price I want more!
I wanted to like this product but for me it's just "meh". On the plus side, it does exactly what it says on the label: it hydrates. But that's it. No dark circle improvement, no line plumping, no removing crepiness., and the effect of giving my concealer a decent canvas was inconsistent from day to day. If I' m buying a separate eye cream, I want it to do more, because there was absolutely no difference between this eye cream and using my regular unscented facial moisturizer. Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream
This is THE MOST amazing eye cream that is gentle on the eye area and doesnt irritate the delicate skin. Every other eye cream i have tried makes my eyes water, itch and get teary. This is the exception. I got a GENEROUS sample from the Bobbi Brown counter in Dillard's and then bought the full size after trying it. The only reason i am not giving it a "10" is the price. I would prefer to pay a little less since the bottle only lasts me a couple months! The packaging is great as well - no complaints at all!!! Not worth the price
A salesperson pushed me into buying this after she applied it on me before eyeshadow. I thought it might make my undereye wrinkles a little bit less visible but it didn't. It is hydrating but I didn't need it since my skin is not dry at all around the eyes. The packaging is super heavy, too, and it made my makeup bag so heavy I ended up putting it away and never used it again. Great eye cream and makeup primer
I've been using this eye cream for the past few months and it's been working really well for me. It is very moisturizing and the best part that it is an excellent primer prior to the application of concealer. Great for concealer application
I went to bobbi brown at Selfridges where she put on this cream, corrector and concealer and the finish was absolutely flawless. I have some lines around my eyes where concealer settles into however I found that with the cream on the concealer doesn't highlight my lines as much. moisturizes yes but no visible change
I don't see any difference between using regular moisturizer and BB Hydrating Eye Cream. Iit feels nice, but not outstanding.
