I dislike the heavy feeling of lipstick, leaving lip prints on my drink, having to reapply, and generally feeling "made-up." That is why I love lip stains, and I specifically love this formula. I don't find it too drying (especially since I can moisturize without removing the color.) It last such a long time, and is totally low-maintenance. I especially love its versatility: I can layer it. For example, if I'm just going to school or something I put a dab in the middle of my lower lip, and two dabs in the middle of my upper lip, and blend it all out with my finger or a q-tip if I'm feeling fastidious. Then I can leave it or top it with balm or gloss. Sometimes I put on lip balm before the stain. It doesn't last as long, but the margin of error is lessened slightly. If I'm performing and want to use this for the stage, I'll take the applicator and line my lips and blend inward, and repeat a couple of times. Then I'll dab again in the center of my upper lip and blend out. After that I can top it with whatever long-lasting gloss I want and voila! As some reviewers said, it absorbs very quickly, so it can be tricky to blend into the cheeks. I sometimes mix a little of the stain with a very small pump of my moisturizer if I want the color on my cheeks; it makes it much easier to blend. I bought this product about two years ago, and I'm still working on the first bottle (Baby Boo), so I a little goes a long way. All in all, a very versatile and useful product, and I'd buy again if I ever ran out. I bought this over a year ago in My Sunshine a warm cherry color, and have been very pleased with it. I use it both for (moisturized) cheeks and lips, and I've found it helps make a good base for other lip glosses/colors I want to apply over. The consistency and applicator are liquid but not too runny. It's very potent so a couple of dabs are enough- but you do have to be quick about blending it. At $20-something dollars, I'd say it's a good value considering I've been using it for more than a year now and I'm only halfway finished. I bought this from qvc in Liquid Kiss. I had been using Origins cheek gel, Stila gel and Clinique so I guess you could say I like the concept. When I first tried the Longo version I was unhappy with the blending process but I can see from the other reviews that I must have been doing something wrong or was just not quick enough. When I tried it again using a Beauty Blender sponge I found that I wasn't as clumsy and liked it alot better. It lasts forever, giving you a nice flush that doesn't look fake. — 1 month, 3 weeks ago

Too Drying

This would be a nice stain if it wasn't so drying. And the colors are a bit too dark. Need one or two more slightly lighter colors for fair skin. Lasts a couple hours so that's good. — 3 months, 1 week ago

I tried so hard to love this. Hated it. I ONLY use lips stains and lip balms when no stain. I have tried every single brand I can find, all listed on here and then some, and the only one I will repurchase is Josie Maran's and NOT the one with argan oil in it. I prefer in marker form also since I have very full lips and need a nice steady line and brushes etc do not help with that. CG stains are nice colors, taste AWFUL. Avon/Mark's Kissinks ok but never made it through morning. Revlon's Just Bitten is ok, nothing special. The actual stain in marker form I loved more than any was the Sephora brand ones and they were discontinued years ago. I had strawberry and it lasted 2yrs with daily use. My favorite is Angel's Touch. It's a beautiful violet and frequently matches shirts I wear. I often swipe it with My Sunshine for a more natural look. These are beautiful dark dense colors that are easy to wear and last, last last. None other compare. Neo Aura is my second favorite as a solo and what I'd recommend for a newbie. It's won't feel as rash to those not used to wearing color but will provide a natural darker intriguing appeal to your lips. I can combine lip stains with anything and prefer them to any other kind of coloring. I've searched out and found the perfect brand. Try this! — 2 years, 6 months ago

i bought it durin the sale at B&BW and let me tell you it is the best lip stain i have found i have the two darkest colors sweet apolloina (a deep purple) and liquid kiss (deep red) both last forever but the best way to get a lighter colour is to use a sample fome aplicator it is over all a great product to use under lipgloss or other sheer lip products i love it — 3 years ago

I had never used "lip-stain" before so I was skeptical. But Vincent Longo lives up to it's claim of long lasting color. It doesn't dry my lips out like other all-day lipsticks. The colors also blend with your own skin tone. I went back and ordered two more colors. — 3 years ago

Best stain ever!

LOVE this one the most (and I have bought and tried about 15 different brands). I only wish there were a natural pink shade, but I use this one every time I want a darker color. My shade of choice: Liquid Kiss. It lasts and lasts, and you can reapply if needed (usually for me, just once a day), even if you, like me, applied gloss over the first application. Works perfectly on cheeks, too. Just melts into the skin. The gel consistency refuses to travel into fine lines around the lips. Ideal!
