    Nothing special...

I bought the quad pictured above and while the colors appear to be pretty vivid, the application is too sheer and chalky for my taste. It did not crease or fade and is probably most suitable for day wear. Definitely will not work for a night/dramatic look. — 2 years, 7 months ago

The packaging is the only good thing.

I wish more eyeshadows came in compacts like this, with the large mirror. On the other hand, the shades, while pretty, have low color pay off and a high likelihood of fading, even with THAT eyeshadow primer. I bought a smokey eye quad, and it came with this unpleasant pink (I'm of the school that thinks that pinks and reds belong on your cheeks and lips, not on your eyes, where they make you loo...read morek allergic to something or lab rat-esque). The slate and the pewter were really lovely colors with a reasonable amount of fine shimmer. I especially liked the lighter of the two grays. But they migrate into creases and leave your makeup looking like you partied all night, even after a few hours. The white that was included is also unsavory. It has these atrocious chunks of glitter that render it unusable. All in all, you're better off buying some of the drugstore quads and saving your money. — 2 years, 9 months ago

Starting out in makeup? This is the one for you!

When I first started getting into makeup, I had purchased 4 quads from my Avon rep. I didn't know any terminology of makeup, so I just applied it how it says on the back of the product. If you're a teen & starting off in makeup, this is great for you, if not, I'd save up some money & just get the 120 palette from ebay. — 3 years, 5 months ago

    Perfection

I purchased the Island Breeze Quad set and LOVE it. It takes more than just a minute to apply but the complements that I get while wearing this product are totally worth it! I wear it to work and school and I've found that the dark wears a bit after 4-5 hours. Other than the slight fading I love the product. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. It comes in such a variety of colors that anyone can find their look. — 4 years ago

    disappointing

I agree with the last reviewer. I have been disappointed twice by avon eyeshadows. They have terrible color payoff and the little color that did show up fades off within hours of applying. I like alot of other avon products, but their shadows are not worth the money — 4 years, 12 months ago

    Good for starters

These eyeshadows are good for someone who really just expects to get a soft sheer look . If you are someone who likes really pigmented colors these are not for you. I would say for older woman who want a soft look, again it is nothing like MAC or HIP eyeshadows. I have two sets and I usually wear them during the day when I just want a little sparkle. Good luck ladies :] — 5 years, 2 months ago

    Skip This Smokey Eye Diappointment

Overall, the palette was fairly disappointing. The colors weren't particularly saturated and the white was too sparkly for my taste. Also, I would have preferred if they had provided another shade of grey rather than the pink, the pink being fairly useless in creating the look I wanted. The pink is also the least saturated of the four colors so it barely shows up on my skin. There are other better budget friendly smokey eye quads on the market. Skip this one. — 5 years, 5 months ago
