Maybelline New York Define-A-Line Eye Liner
Editor's Rating & Review
This skinny plastic wand maximizes space with a liner on one end and a smudge brush on the other. The pencil twists up as needed, and creates a smooth line from inner to outer lids. The packaging isn't as sturdy -- it feels cheapie -- and only comes in half the shades of department store equivalent Clinique Quickliner. Flip the smudger, and there's a small sharpener which, unfortunately, you'll use often because the liner is so soft and mush-able.

dark, smooth
corizotti (540 reviews)if you want to do a smokey eye, i bet this would be great bc it goes on really dark and smooth and easy, without a hint of tugging. and it has its own smudger and sharpener on the tube. the black i got is very dark, but the way i use liner, for a dramatic cat eye with a wing, it smudges too much. my 'wings' also disapeared towards the 6 hour mark. and i only line the top lid but by the end of the day i had it on top, bottom, inner and out rim. it migrates alot! and it does sting my eyes a bit too. — 3 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Soft!
MakeupGuru (404 reviews)This eyeliner is very soft and goes on smoothly onto your lids. Great for blending too. The colors are highly pigmented, and the non-black shades are not too bright, so all shades are very wearable. The only thing is that it's not long lasting, so it can smear by the end of the day, especially if you have oily lids. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Doesn't last long
oopylovesyou (17 reviews)It's okay - easy to put on and not very expensive, but my biggest issue with it is it fades fast and it smudges. I find myself needing to wipe liner off my lower lids through-out the day when I wear it. It does look nice when you first put it on, but that doesn't last very long (be prepared to touch up often) — 2 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
