Loreal is the only brand for me.
I first tried Loreal Excellence Creme hair color many years ago. They offered a coupon for a free box to try, so I did. I have baby-fine, thin, very long hair-I can sit on it-so it took 4 or 5 boxes to color my hair the first time. I used Loreal Excellence Blonde Supreme #2, extra light natural blonde. The color doesn't fade out, it always looks fresh and natural. I only need to recolor my hair when the roots showc which only takes 1 box. I couldn't be more satisfied with this product. I always use the Loreal shampoo and conditioner made for color-treated hair that's normal (the red bottles). These 3 products together have treated my hair so well. My hair is silky, managable, soft, and with no split ends ever. Obviously with my hair as long as it is, it is a major part of who I am. I wouldn't trust my hair to anything but Loreal. Almost perfect
Pros: excellent gray coverage, long-lasting, lots of color choices, I like the pre-color treatments. Cons: VERY strong odor, long processing time, after-color conditioner isn't as good as those from other brands. Excellent, long lasting
I am a natural auburn haired woman and wanted to keep that color, just brighten it up and cover what little gray I had. It was EXACTLY as pictured, easy to do, and the color really doesn't fade. My hair feels soft and looks just as it should. The product was exactly as it claims, the color lasts beyond its claim and the value, even at the total price is a winner in my book. I have been coloring my hair for over 10 years or so now. Having tried many hair colors this is definitely one of my favorites. I found out this morning though. If you have really short hair don't use the comb that combs with it. It is made for longer hair I found out too late. When I went to try putting it on with the comb. Easy to use, Quality
This at-home creme hair color is very gentle and super easy to use, even for first time home-hair colorers. The kit included application bottle, color mixing agent, pre-treatment conditioner, after coloring conditioner, and gloves. The instructions are super easy to follow. There is a mild smell to the product when it's being applied, but nothing I would describe as harsh. There's many, many color...read mores in so many shades that finding your match, or new color, is easy!! **LOOK at the side of the box, for final color result pictures - don't just go by the pic on the front.** What's great about applying this color is that it DOESN'T DRIP!! The application bottle comes with a comb attachment; I have medium length hair and always use the regular bottle top instead. The color is even and fabulous, and lasts a good four weeks if not longer! The after-coloring conditioner is awesome, and there's enough to last until you color again. Because it's no-drip, it's super easy to apply yourself. Definitely use a timer, *especially* if a friend is coloring your hair. Otherwise you might get to talkin' and forget how long the product has been on! One box is enough for shoulder length hair; go ahead and get two boxes if your hair is longer. Long hair definitely will need two boxes. This is a gentle color; if you have dark hair and want to go very blonde, be careful about choosing a blonde color. As with most other brands, It doesn't have the oomph to lift color enough to turn darker hair blonde, and you might end up with reddish-orange instead. Excellence!!
I buy the L'Oreal Excellence Browns at Sally Beauty Supply for $5, which doesn't come with the supplies that comes in the normal box, but it is great nevertheless. I used Dark Burgundy Brown and I love it! My 1st choice for hair color

Good, but out of my price range

Surprisingly gentle
I had always used Ganier Fructisse because it didn't damage my hair, but I was always having to touch up because it covered my whites but for some reason the color washed off of my white hair much sooner than it did the rest of my hair no matter what I tried. This product covered better, lasted longer and was just as gentle on my hair than the GF was if not more so.
