The Most Gorgeous Beauty Looks We're Stealing From NYFWForget the clothes; we couldn't take our eyes off these must-copy makeup looks |
The Sparkly Underliner That Wins Fashion Week Makeup From far away, it's just a flash of reflective silver. Up close, it's a mesmerizing row of Swarovski crystals. No matter where you were sitting at New York Fashion Week (including a virtual front row seat), the eye embellishments at the Rodarte Fall 2015 Show looked stunning. Lead makeup artist James Kaliardos for Nars Cosmetics attached Swarovski crystals to a string and glued them to models' lower lash line, creating a dramatic, yet ethereal look. The best part about this look? It's an instant fix for sleep-deprived eyes. "The Swarovski crystal effect on the eye adds depth and shine to the lower lash and the glossy lip reflects the light," says Kaliardos. With a backing like that, how can we not add some glittery goodness into our makeup routine?
If you're not up for gluing rhinestones on your face just yet, tentatively try the trend by swiping a metallic eyeliner right under your lower lash line. We like L'Oreal Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner in silver or gold.
