Shimmering silver

While icy, metallic shades tend to be reserved for winter, they're making a cameo this spring -- and we love the pretty, wearable trend. We spotted silver eyes on more than one runway, but our favorite was Spring 2012 Chanel show. Makeup artist Peter Philips used a white cream shadow flecked with silver to create the dewy look (inspired by the idea of underwater ballerinas) and finished it off with black liner and mascara.

I love the red eye shadow, and you can never have enough lashes, but they need to be neat. The girl in the pic with the false lashes look clumpy, 'like her lashes looked good the night before and she woke up with a hang over and clumpy lashes that needs to be refreshed

Layers of lashes looks very pretty. This past month Ive been going all nude in my face as in no makeup and the little stubborn blemishes I cant get rid of have dissapeared so I really like that

some good ideas....like the layers of lashes. I've been wanting to try false lashes but I'm afraid of them being too over the top. I have nice lashes but I want to try something...different. Not sure I'd want to do the thick eyebrows but I'm pretty sure if I let them go for a few days I'd have the look down!lol.

I agree with the comment about ideas for women with darker complexions. When you are doing stories on any trend, it should include examples of ALL skin types - Asian, Black, Hispanic, and White. Because you didn't, I don't feel this story was relevant to me at all. I even attempted some of them on my darker skin and I looked like an idiot! You don't need separate examples for each skin color or hair type, just remember to include all of us. We spend money, too!

I find some of these suggestion in this article to be pretty and nice to try out, except big brows and layers of lashes. Having loads of false lash could look a bit much, and big brows isn't beautiful or sexy to me in my opinion.

hmmm...guess i'm not very adventurous, as a lot of these looks strike me as fine for the catwalk but questionable on the sidewalk, even on a night out! more how-to's would be helpful, such as how to pull off a silver eyeshadow for warm skin tones.
