Red Carpet-Worthy Hair and Makeup in 10 Minutes or Less

Bright red lips seen here on "True Blood" star Wesley, were all over the red carpet at this Emmys show and Landy Dean, celebrity makeup artist (to starlets like Michelle Williams and Naomi Watts) who works out of the Marie Robinson salon in New York City, says this look is super easy (read: quick) to pull off. Start by applying matte foundation, setting it with a translucent powder to get a clean-looking canvas. Then, choose a classic red lipstick or a brighter orange-toned red like Revlon Matte Lipstick in Coral, $7.99 and apply to the lips. Use the same lipstick and apply it to the apples of the cheeks with a sponge (like a cream blush), as this will "keep the color in harmony," says Dean. Define the eyes with a deep brown or black pencil between the lashes and blend slightly.
