A good list. This spring I've been having good results combining two tinted lip balms -- one high moisture but unfortunately low tint, the other high color payoff but unfortunately not moisturizing enough. Together, they're perfect.

Foundation mixed with sunscreen isn't a very good idea. These products should be layered, allowing them time to dry between layers. If you mix them, it's diluting the SPF.

Try applying a complementary colored metallic eyeshadow over your favorite lipstick. Finish with a high sheen gloss to avoid clumping!

I haven't really figured out yet how to use an illuminator correctly yet. I like the idea of mixing it with a moisturizer or tinted moisturizer. I will have to practice some more. I think using these ideas will definitely help! We'll see how it goes.

I mix my highlighter with my foundation for a dewy glow. Next time I'll try it with moisturizer and see how it compares.

Oh, I love most of these ideas, but my fav is mixing mineral shadow with a cream shadow for more staying power. I wonder whether mixing sunscreen with anything is a good idea, though. Won't that lessen its effectiveness?

I always mix MAC bronzer with body lotion because it makes my face break out and I couldn't return it because I lost the receipt lol. I also mix sunscreen with foundation to make my own tinted moisturizer

I've mixed sunblock with liquid foundation before, but for my face to simplify my applications. Another comment about mixing blush, loose pigments or eye shadow with lip balm to make a lip color--if you have a gluten intolerance (as I do) you'll want to check those other products for gluten ingredients. As mentioned in the article, those are more likely to be ingested and you wouldn't normally ingest blush, so until you mix it with lip balm there's no reason to check for gluten.

I have recently started using moisturizer prior to bronzing lotion and have noticed remarkable results. Normally, even if carefully applied, bronzing lotion can leave streaks, or lines where it has not been blended in. But by using a moisturizer on the skin first, takes care of those problems. You still need to be careful to wash your hands so you don't end up with orange palms.
