Guess, I'm a gusher of Wet 'n' Wild it is a good polish and you can't beat the $$$ - I also thin my nail polish when it appears too thick but with ordinary remover - it works girls. ESSIE is overpriced for what you get. Not in my everyday budget. 'That's all FOLKS'

Wet 'n' Wild pricing is fantastic and it is a good nail polish if you use a good base coat and a super top coat, like Nails Alive.

I always go back to ESSIE! And Seche Vite makes a nail polish thinner, I think it's called Restore? Really does the trick! Also their top coat is the best I've found.

I like Avon, China Glaze, and one which wasn't mentioned--CoverGirl's "Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss." It has a built-in topcoat and looks fresh for more than a week, even with vivid shades!

Totally agree with the list. I stopped using Avon. Even though I love the colors, they separate quickly and the brush is too thin! LOVE Essie, OPI, and Wet N Wild nail polish. This list needs to be updated to include Pure Ice Nail Polish!!! I would say that would be tied, next to Wet N Wild, as a drugstore favorite!!!

I'm guessing this article must be older because the Maybelline, Wet N Wild and Rimmel polishes they featured don't exist anymore, at least not in drug stores (although I did find a Maybelline the other day at KMart. Lippmann's are not $15, more like $18+ and OPI and China Glaze are definitely not $6, more like $8. And I love how one of the reviewers describes herself as a polish whore with 50 nail polishes.. I'm up to about 390 (and that's not even a lot in the nail polish community) so what does that make me?

My favourites aren't on here! Nubar make amazing colours, as do A England. That said, China Glazes are pretty good, I've found. Deborah Lipmann is far too expensive, so I only have one colour, and I haven't had much luck with it unfortunately!

Charles of the Ritz had the best polish in the 80's and 90's. No clue if they are still in business. I used to do my nails every Thursday and they stayed all weekend and week at work with typing.

I really like the new Wet and Wild polish. Not a ton of shades yet but they look nice and dry quickly. Never really liked the Maybelline express finish. To me, Essie and Opi are overrated. The new Loreal polishes stay on decent and the colors are gorgeous.

I love Lippman nailpolishes and have five or six right now. They are absolutely beatiful, but on the pricey side unfortunately. My next go to is OPI and I just started using Julep too which is very nice.

Wet and Wild has nice colours, goes on well but has no longevity. Even when using a quality topcoat you will be always toching up or completely redoing your nails. As nailpolish can be time consuming as well as strong smelling, it isnt something I want to have to redo constantly. With a good base and top polish should easily go a week with top coat added every 2nd day. I always buy speed dry topcoat and pay way more for it than polish. Sally Hansen or OPI make good ones. something to think about to protect from yellowing and look fresh. Nothing looks worse than chipped polish!

Avon nail polish is very under rated, I think. I haven't used it in a long time though. Revlon and China Glaze are excellent mid price polishes newbies should try first, in my opinion.

I know a LOT of people are gonna hate me for this, but honestly, OPI has never wowed me as much as other brands, like China Glaze, Essie, or even Milani and NYX. To me, they're only popular because Sephora carries the line and that's "the" brand that most people think of when they think of nail polish, but other brands are definitely better.

I like color club, china glaze, and revlon the formulas seems to be smoother yet thick. OPI seems to be thin i have a few that i have to coat like 4 times. BUTTER seems to look great that will be the next line i will try.

Umm where is Zoya? This is by far the best nail polish to come around in a very long time. Don't get me wrong OPI is good but really Wet and Wild, Avon, Revlon before Zoya? No way.

I agree with some choices! Avon,OPI nad Rimmel are really great nail polishes! On the other hand,Maybelline was not so good as I expected.

I haven't tried CG yet, but OPI is good enough for me. I'm surprised I don't see Nubar in the list. I personally think it's pretty good.

I almost use OPI exclusively now. I get so many compliments on my nail polish. I use to buy the $1 bottles at Walmart but it really is worth paying the $7. The colors are long lasting, shiny, and easy to apply. I would like to try China Glaze sometime and maybe Essie.

i get either china glaze or OPI. I get opi for about $4 a bottle and china glaze about $3.25 a bottle. It all depends on whats out currently and brand specials at my pro supply.

I prefer OPI or China Glaze formulas, however, I would love to know where they are buying OPI for 5.99 because most stores and salons sells it for $7 to $8 a bottle! For crazy colors I go for the cheaper China Glaze and for glamour and class go for OPI

China Glaze is a great brand of polish for all the reasons that have been mentioned in the article. However, regarding the formula, I personally prefer OPI because is easier for me to apply it.

The essie neon or bright colors are like cheap acrylic paint. They go on dull and gloppy. I totally disagree with the article.
