  has made my hair shinier and fuller

  This product simply delivers as promised: Since I started using the shampoo about 6 months ago, my hair has been fuller and shinier. It's as simple as that! I have long natural dark brown hair, and since the shampoo I used for many years prior was discontinued a couple of years ago, I've been trying several different bra...nds of shampoo, searching for the one that worked as well as what I'd used prior, which was a more expensive salon brand (KMS, which changed all its formulas). I tried this product on a whim after seeing it on the shelf at Target, and have been so pleasantly surprised that this inexpensive brand works so well. I highly recommend it! May 8, 2008, 1:26 am

  The Everyday Pampering Tool

  One of the best perks of this shampoo is the fragrance. A rich, coconut and chocolate, it revives me every time I use it. I have noticed a subtle shine after using John Frieda's Shine Release Shampoo, although it wasn't a very drastic change. I have mildly thin hair, so the volume-boost was greatly appreciated. It lifted an...d lightened my hair, but did so without drowning me in frizz. I use this as an every other day shampoo, treating my hair to some volume and spoiling myself with the delicious fragrance. I prefer this over Redken's Body Full shampoo. John Frieda's Shine Release Shampoo cleanses without stripping your hair, and adds a lustrous feeling. February 22, 2008, 4:10 pm

  Not Just Clever Marketing

  Every cosmetic product out there claims to do something fabulous that no other product can replicate. I'm happy to report that this shampoo actually lives up to its own hype. When several coworkers complimented my hair, I couldn't understand it -- no haircut, nothing new -- until I realized I'd switched over to this shamp...oo the week before. Sure enough, just a few days of use had lent richer dimension to my hair, a depth of color I'd not noticed before. There also seems to be a discernible -- if not earth-shattering -- volumizing effect. Over all, I am quite pleased with this product. (For the record, I have fine shoulder-length medium-brown hair with natural red tints.) December 11, 2007, 10:49 am

  Uber shine!

  I absolutely LOVE John Frieda's Brilliant Brunette line, especially this volumizing shampoo. Not only does it bring out the luster of brunette hair, it gives it a boost of volume that I have yet to find in other shampoos. Most volumizing shampoos give you just that, but this one is great for color-treated hair as well as na...tural. A definite recommendation! October 26, 2007, 8:40 pm

  Greatest shampoo!!

  This is one of the only shampoos that both protect colour and adds volume, that does not cost an arm and a leg. Not only does it create volume and add lots of shine to hair, but it also smells great! This is overall my favourite shampoo I've ever tried!! (and I've tried many) April 21, 2008, 1:37 pm

  visible shine

  The shine is visible with this and it works just as well as the expensive stuff I think. I am leary of any shampoo's that contain the words volumizing because I've read in allure that it can end up having the opposite effect. This is not the case with john frieda shampoo, I can style it as usual and enjoy expensive looking ...hair all day long. February 2, 2008, 7:35 pm

  Usually when buying shampoo I get cautious when it promises to make your hair shiny. Well this one actually does!! And it smells great on top of that too! It leaves my hair extremely touchable and gorgeous all day long. I seriously would recomend this product!! November 20, 2007, 3:53 pm

  I love, love, love this product!

  Most products that promise shine make my hair oily. This is a fabulous product that shines without being oily. I even had a hair stylist comment on how shiny my hair was and I told her what I was using and she was suprised that it was something you can get at the drugstore, grocery, etc. November 13, 2007, 6:34 am

  Shiny hair that's easy to manage!

  This shampoo is great! Not only does it make my hair look great by accentuating the natural brown colors, it also rinses out and leaves me with no tangles! I have very thick, fine hair that really doesn't do very much, so this shampoo has greatly improved the "volume" effect and given it a little more body. I h...ighly recommend!   Awful!!!!

  I used this shampoo about three times and it made my hair super greasy and dull. It was a major disappointment because I heard so many great things about this product. The only thing positive about this product is the scent, it smells great! June 8, 2009, 3:11 pm
