I really like this mascara. The little brush is absolutely great for your lower lashes. This is the only mascara that I would use for my lower lashes. I wish they had this while I was a teenager when I wasn't allowed to wear too much makeup. It gives you a very clean, natural look. I use a different mascara for my top lashes since I want very thick dramatic lashes, but for my lower lashes, I use this mascara. I am generally not too impressed with mascaras, but this was actually pretty good. It defined all my lashes without ending up on my eyelids or under my eyes. I really like the small brush, which is easy to control. It creates a very natural look, which could be good or bad depending on what kind of look you want. It doesn't smudge yet washes off easily. I love length and separation, Lash Discovery gives me excellent length and good separation. The 'very black' color is just that, intense black.
