Facial in a bottle

I was given a super deluxe size of Serious Skincare Glycolic Gommage Exfoliating Facial to try at home and give my unbiased review. It was a part of the Total Beauty Collection for HSN. My skin is not sensitive, or too sun stricken and I have combination skin with visible pores around my nose. This product (a small pea amount) transformed the appearance of my skin. The very fine gritty texture dug out all of the gook trapped in my pores and took away any dry, dead skin leaving a healthy glow. I only use this product at night before going to bed, as I felt using it in the daytime opened my skin up to any pollution , dirt or extra Sun rays leaving my skin vulnerable to the elements. It does not foam a lot (and it shouldn't if its a true exfoliant) but it does remove the days makeup. The scent was very light, which was sort of an aromotherapy experience. I did use my Rosé water & aloe witch hazel tonic (my recipe for closing my huge pores) and my night time moisturizer sunk in so nicely. Waking up in the morning ..I swear I was looking younger !! I highly recommend serious Skincare Glycolic Gommage for anyone who wants beautiful skin. I have always used another exfoliant very similar with the initials MK ..and I have decided to replace that product with my new Glycolic Gommage .

sensitive skin?

I recieved this product as a asmple to review and loved the packaging and fancy, expensive look of the tube. Presentation aside, I have veryy sensitive skin that will break out with any change in my routine so I was very hesitant to use it on my face, especially t zone. I tried this product on my hands and cheeks, as they are much less sensitive than my t zone. The product looks almost like cem...read moreent coming out, but it smoothes onto skin nicely and has a nice light almost sandy texture, not an abrasive scrubbing exfoliant feel (think st ives apricot scrub-ouch!). I am going to try to slowly intoduce it to the rest of my face, because after using on my cheeks and hands, they felt smoothe and soft.

it works!

This product is pretty awesome, I only give it 8 stars because I would find it really tough to mark off time to do it on a regular basis. Yes, I'm that busy, and it would require strategic planning. Softening!

I really love this product. It is probably not for those with very dry skin though. My skin is oily and I am 31 so the results are from my perspective . I get random red patches, this evened those out. Obviously it didn't get rid of hyper pigmentation but the random splotches went away. My skin somehow looks tighter without diminished creases. Feels great! Irritates acne :( Maybe better for mature skin?

With the word glycolic, I thought this would act more like an at-home chemical peel. I was afraid when it was done, my skin would be tender and red, and that it would sting really badly and I wouldn't be able to wait the full 10 minutes before washing it off. But that didn't happen. For the most part, I was pleasantly surprised. I followed the directions, starting by cleansing my skin with a gent...read morele foaming cleanser and then patting it dry. I applied the product. The directions say to apply in a thick, even layer, but it seemed to only want to go in a thin layer. It stung a little bit. I was afraid it would get worse, but it didn't. Instead the stinging gave way to a pleasant, refreshing cooling sensation. I didn't want to take it off! I eventually did. It scrubbed off easily, but most of my acne flared up pretty badly, and it made my prescription acne treatment sting when I put it on. All in all, I'm on the fence about this product. I'm really not sure it did anything. But it did feel really nice while I had it on. Maybe it would have more of an effect on mature skin.

I'm a fan!

When I hear "Glycolic" I think of an acidy, glue-like substance that burns on my skin. I was surprised to find this product was more of a microderm mud mask, with all of the same benefits as the "usual" Glycolic peel. It was a wonderful exfoliater and my skin felt soft and refreshed after I rinsed the mask. I would absolutely recommend this mask.

Amazing results

I've never used glycolic anything until this product and I will be using it again. It made my skin glow! I'm over half a century old and wished I'd been using this years ago. The results were so visible my hubby wanted to try it; okay if you buy me some more in a larger size :) Honestly though, the removal of the dry patches on my face made me want to go buy a moisturizer from SS to achieve and hold on to the exceptional results. Very happy!

Great product

I really enjoyed this product. It made me feel pampered taking ten minutes to sit there and then get awesome skin which did not seem as tired as before. I like the scent and it seemed to get all the dead skin off my face easily enough. I would recommend the product

Refreshing exfoliation

This really exfoliates effectively and gently. You use it like a mask for 10 minutes and wash it off. It is sort of like a clay mask, but it also has glycolic acid in it. It made my skin feel smooth and helped with post acne red marks.

Great, unique exfoliator- a real at-home facial!

I really, really, really like this product! Most "exfoliators" don't really do the job as they're not grainy enough in the right way, but this one is- and it actually gives you a "facial"- you put it on clean dry skin, let it dry like a mask for 10 minutes, and then rehydrate it with water and massage it as an exfoliator; it leaves my skin clean feeling, soft, and smooth, and looking much better t...read morehan it did before! LOL I had never tried this product or this brand before, and got to do so as it was included in the HSN Total Beauty Collection; I will definitely buy it again.
