Clairol Pro 4Plex Shampoo

Good shampoo
This shampoo has a good lather and cleans my hair well. I noticed a lot of other people said that the scent leaves something to be desired - I think it smells professional and "salon-y." I personally do not have damaged or color treated hair (I got all my dead, dry, and split ends cut off a few days before receiving this product to test" but it has left my hair softer, bouncier, and more managea...read moreble. I find that i do not really need to use a conditioner with this because it conditions my hair well. I received a sample of this from Total Beauty. I was excited, as it is designed for the exact type of hair I have: dry and damaged. My hair is fairly fine, but I have a lot of it. I have had it dark, light, red and everything in between. I've had it highlighted for the last several months and recently received a straightening treatment that dried my hair out very much. So, in all fairness, I did s...read moretart off with hair that needed some help. The formula of this shampoo is very creamy and it lathers a decent amount, but not overly so. However, upon rinsing, my hair felt very dry and brittle. I had to soak it with conditioner afterward to comb through. I think the fact that it contains two harsh sulfates has something to do with this. It seems to me that a shampoo designed to repair should contain gentler ingredients. All-in-all, it's a decent shampoo, good for people with normal to somewhat dry hair. decent shampoo
I was neither over nor under impressed by this shampoo. I typically avoid shampoos with strong scents, and this had a light scent, but it was an almost chemical smell, which wouldn't be a good selling point for those who do like their shampoos to smell. I do have color treated hair, but I take care of it, don't wash it every day, don't use drying electronics on it every day, etc. so I don't know...read more for sure whether it prolonged my color, but one thing I was very surprised at was the fact that it had sulfates in it. As a shampoo that touts itself as "professional" and color safe, I would think that it wouldn't have such harsh, bad for you chemicals in it. My hair hasn't been noticeably better or worse after using this. I felt like this shampoo worked well, Nice smell, great lather, certainly made my hair soft and manageable, However it made it TOO SOFT. wouldn't hold a style no matter how much mousse I used. Smells great
I like many things about this shampoo-the scent, the bottle, the fact that you don't need a separate conditioner. My hair felt great after shampooing and drying but it did seem to not stay clean as long as it does with my regular shampoo. Good Shampoo

Not the greatest
I wasn't overly impressed with the shampoo. I didn't notice any difference to my hair after shampooing with this, it was still dry and fly away. I always had to follow up with a conditioner to be able to come through it smoothly. I also didn't like the smell or lack there of in this product. I love for my hair to smell fresh and clean and this did nothing for me. Not bad.
It's a pretty decent shampoo. I like the bottle and definitely feel that it made my hair a bit softer while prolonging my color for sure. I didn't like that there wasn't a lot of suds to it ( I like me a sudsy shampoo) and I would have preferred a bit stronger of a scent. Great shampoo
