Intensive, but powerful
Anytime my skin starts to make its track back to normalcy after a breakout, I like to use a good exfoliant to remove all the dead skin that usually follows. I received a deluxe sample of this microdermabrasion scrub and it's very powerful. The lemon scent is quite pleasant, but for anyone with sensitive skin, this scrub might be a little too harsh for your skin, especially when you have to scrub for 1-2 minutes as directed. Naturally, cleanse your face prior to using this and make sure you use a nice thick moisturizer afterwards. I recommend that you use this at night rather than in the morning because it can temporarily make your face blotchy and red like after a facial. I prefer a nice thick firming night cream to follow. You're supposed to wait 3 days in between uses as the grains do feel harsh. I wouldn't compare this to a real microdermabrasion (obviously), but it's a powerful exfoliant that's going to do it's job and remove all the dead or dry flakes from your face. If I could compare it, I would compare it to Kate Somerville's ExfoliKate line. Good at home treatment...
The Microdermabrasion by Dr. Brandt is a fantastic treatment. I received a deluxe sample of this and really liked the results. It is an intensive treatment that sloughs away dry, dead skin to reveal a radiant complexion. The drawback? The price! Love it, but....
I really love this product, but I hate how fast it seems to dry out in the container. I always make sure to put the top back on tightly, but it still gets dried out and changes color after just a couple of uses. This is not a new phenomenon with this product, but it happened in less than two weeks this time.
