An "Okay" Night Treatment
I've been using this on and off for fifteen years, and my opinion at this point is that it doesn't work nearly as well as it promises. It claims to be "advanced" because of the increased silicone content over the original version. Another reason for the "advanced" name is that it contains a larger amount of antioxidants, along with nature's moisture magnet, hyaluronic acid. When I do use this, I use it consistently. Yes, my skin is softened, but there is no "dramatic reduction in the major signs of visible aging, day after day, month after month," as Estèe Lauder promises. I'm stunned at the price of this, especially with the lack of results. — 1 week, 1 day agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Doesn't do what it claims.
Product claims [taken from the Estee Lauder website]: "AWARD WINNER: "Editor's Choice" 2008 Golf For Women Beauty Award, GOLF FOR WOMEN, May/June 2008" PRODUCT DETAILS: "This anti-aging serum helps repair the appearance of past damage and protect your skin's future. Think of it as "insurance" for younger, healthier-looking skin, today and tomorrow. Repairs past damage. Helps skin repair its appearance from daily environmental damage to recover a younger look. Heightens skin's natural repair response-critical for its well-being. Soothes daily irritation and builds a rich reserve of anti-oxidants and lipids. Protects skin's future. Neutralizes up to 90% of environmentally generated free radicals before they can affect skin's appearance. Studies show it is this environmental damage-not time-that can cause 80% of the visible signs of aging. Hydrates for skin health. Delivers high levels of long-proven hyaluronic acid, nature's "moisture magnet." Locks in moisture to create the ideal environment for healthy skin. So effective. So advanced. It's patented." HOW TO USE "Apply every PM on clean skin. Follow with your moisturizer. Use 4-5 drops. Smooth in gently all over face and throat. Not for use in immediate eye area." FORMULA FACTS "Dermatologist-tested, Ophthalmologist-tested, Fragrance-free, Non-acnegenic". ================================= REVIEW: I received this product free as part of the cosmetics settlement as well and was excited to try the expensive anti-aging product b/c even though I'm only 23, I am starting to see some fine lines on my forehead and want to keep my skin in good condition. So does it live up to it's lofty claims? Repairs past damage? Doesn't seem to do anything about irritation one way or the other. If anything, results are minimal. Protects skin's future? A tough claim to truly prove, but IME it doesn't seem to do anything with regards to this statement. Hydrates for skin health? Finally, something I can test at home! Unfortunately, the answer is NO, it doesn't really do anything in terms of hydrating. I tried the product by itself and also under moisturizer and moisturizer by itself, and the repair serum didn't seem to make any difference as to how hydrated my skin was. Fortunately, the product did not cause breakouts (however, I am on Accutane). The smell is a little odd. Not a product worth buying, IMO, but since it doesn't seem to be hurting my skin, I'll use it up and hope it's doing something useful that I can't see! — 1 week, 2 days agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 13 people said helpful

Good beneficial skin product
It has good ingredients, I like the dropper applicator--you only need a couple of drops, it does not cause acne or irritate my sensitive skin. It seems to have softened up a deep wrinkle of mine after about a couple of weeks of use and is beneficial for my skin. You can get an equally good serum that is less expensive, but it is one of the products I really like at Lauder gift time or as a bonus sample. — 1 week, 2 days agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 5 people said helpful
