Best Colors, Wear, and Moisture
I laughed out loud when Tarte introduced their LipSurgence⢠Lip Tints. The claim of increasing lips' moisture content by 6000% on a cellular level sounded completely absurd. What tint could do that? I was intrigued by the colors--so gorgeous--and the fact that this contains peppermint oil for a cooling tingle, jojoba seed oil for moisture, and Vitamins C and E to prevent premature signs of aging. So I tried one--and fell completely in love! This is a completely natural product, as are all of Tarte's, free of parabens, sulfates, petro-chemicals, and synthetic dyes and fragrances. They glide on easily for a natural color that lasts all day, along with a truly moistured, hydrated feeling. I was able to get five of them in a bonus kit from Sephora and loved it--I hope they bring this offer back. Meanwhile, I just keep collecting shades! — 1 week, 1 day agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Best lip stain I've tried
I have the Tarte matte lip tint in shades Lively (a bright fuchsia) and Lucky (a medium/light pink) and I absolutely adore them! I have used lip stains from MAC, Benefit and The Balm, but these moisturizing, yet long lasting crayons really did the trick. They are easy to apply, feel great on my lips and seriously last all day. The other lip stains I have tried either didn't last, didn't have a great color pay off, or they dried my lips like mad. The tarte lip tints do none of the above. I can't say enough great things about these. The matte tints are even vegan to boot! — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 7 people said helpful

Gorgeous stain
I have this product in Fiery--a very bright red. Not normally the color I would choose (I let my boyfriend decide for me between the two colors I was interested in), but I have come to really love it. At first I was trying to apply it like a normal lipstick, but that definitely does not work with this shade (at least not on me). The color was coming out way too bright and I was terrified to wear it in public. Finally I figured out that I needed to apply it gently, just a tiny bit at a time until I reached an intensity that looked nice and I was comfortable with. And it really does moisturize, in spite of the matte look. It's amazing. If I'm in the mood for more shine, I'll dab on some Benetint lip balm over the top of this, but be warned if you do that the stain loses a lot of its staying power and more frequent re-application will be required. These crayons have a nice scent to them as well. I'd like to eventually get the other color I had my eye on. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 8 of 8 people said helpful
