Benefit Watt's Up! Reviews

A Natural, Gorgeous Glow
I love those few days of the year when my skin takes on a life of its own. It is clear, blemish- and wrinkle-free, and has a glow from within. Benefit goes a long way in mimicking this radiance with their genius soft highlighter, "Watt's Up." I initially received it as a birthday gift from Sephora and went on to purchase the full size. Products which add radiance can be tricky for those with very fair skin, but the champagne hue is ultimately becoming (evidently it works for those with darker tones as well). It smooths on effortlessly, and so you control the amount of coverage you want (I don't like the sponge tip on the full-size product; it removes more of the highlighter than it applies). I use my finger or another brush to highlight cheekbones, browbones, whatever--it depends on whether it is day or night. The color is so sheer, so wearable and flattering that it is almost imperceptible. People don't notice that you are sporting a highlighter--they simply notice a new "glow" about you (which is the entire purpose of wearing makeup in the first place, isn't it?). If you do choose to use the sponge end, please clean it regularly so that you do not contaminate the product. I'm not OCD, just very aware of how easily we spread germs. — 1 month, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

A Really Good Highlighter
I received this as swag at ULTA. The rep gave her talk, and it sounded like an exciting product. She chose me to be the guinea pig, and I was really impressed when she started applying it to my face. . This highlighter actually shows up with just a little swipe of the top of the container. It is a cream stick in a bottle that looks like a light bulb. Cute. Especially with the name. I love how it goes on smoothly and blends really well. In a pinch I had to use it as an under eye concealer, and it looked great! So, it's also multi-tasking. Just be sure to not apply too much because a little goes a long way. One of the better highlighters i have used. — 11 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 19 of 19 people said helpful

My new favorite!
I received this as a free birthday gift from Sephora and I love it! I love it even without the little blending sponge that the full size comes with! The formula is smooth and creamy and applies in a nice silky swipe that is easily blended and doesn't stand out with too much shimmer like a lot of other highlighters. There's no obnoxious fragrance and isn't so heavy that you can tell you're wearing it, it's not noticeable it just creates a nice look no matter how much or how little you apply. I use mine just beneath my brows, my cupid's bow, my cheek bones, the bridge of my nose and sometimes around my eyes when I don't have giant bags beneath them! I normally avoid using a highlighter because I find myself stuck with ones that are too pink, have too much shimmer, sparkles(UGH), or ones that look like I have frosting all only my face (I won't name brands but you know who you are!!). I will be buying the full size product! Also I haven't tried it with the applicator but I don't really think one is necessary, this blends so easily with just finger tips there really isn't a point of the extra step. — 2 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Love the Product, but not the Packaging
I first received a sample of this as part of Sephora's birthday gift this year. I liked the product so much that I bought the full size. I have several highlighters, but this one stood out because it was easy to apply and the champagne color is very flattering. My mom, who has much darker skin than me also really likes using this highlighter. I like that this is a solid cream. It is very easy to build up and blend out, so you can customize the intensity of "glow" you want. What I like so much more about the deluxe sample than the actual full size product is the packaging. The sort of sponge that is on the end of the product is useless to me and I much prefer blending the product with my fingers or a synthetic brush. This highlighter is $30 so I feel a little jipped when precious space is wasted on something I don't use. There is also the sanitary issue with the sponge. I don't like the idea of that sponge carrying around bacteria which I then spread on my face. I would much prefer that the sponge be left out and that packaging me used on more product. More ideal packaging for this would be a longer, more narrow stick of the cream so placement is easier, and of course, omit that darn sponge. Still, this is a great, universally flattering highlighter. — 1 month, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Touch And Glow...
Got this at Sephora as a birthday present. Love the texture - very soft and creamy. I don't usually use highlighters and can never find one that flatters my skintone. But this is a warm, golden tone that creates a dewy glow that suits even my skintone. I use it on my lids/browbone for a quick lift or on my cupid's bow or just on the tops of my cheekbones. Don't need too much ~ just a touch and a quick blend and you'll be gorgeous in a flash! I've started using this as my everyday shadow, as it creates that soft, dewy look that adds a bit of sparkle without being overwhelming or too frosty-white. Simple, wonderfully fragrance-free product that creates a surprisingly pretty effect. Love it! — 3 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful

Fantastic Color, Not Longwearing Though
I also received a small sample size of this and as I'm always looking for new highlighters was super stoked to try it out. I'm pleased with its color and its ease in application. It's a very natural looking highlighter that doesn't appear chalky or too shimmery. Its almost a white metallic rather than the typical shimmer or glitter used in highlighting formuals. I used it with a primer in the morning as a brow highlighter and by noon it had completley disappeared. My primer is good quality so I'm assuming Watt's Up is the culprit. I don't intend on buying this if the sample runs out. I would if it was longer lasting though. — 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

NOTHING gets better than this!
This highlighter was just...AMAZING! I used too much the first time I put it on and I STILL got compliments. I didn't know I used too much because the lighting in my bathroom is TERRIBLE! But when I got better lighting I saw and was like WOW I look so vibrant and refreshed! But now I know I don't need as much so it looks more natural, instead of it looking LIKE I had makeup on the glow looked like it BELONGED to me.. Does that make sense? sorry if it doesn't but I'm not exactly sure how to put it. You'll really just have to try for yourself! — 1 day, 10 hours agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

perfect
I also received as the free birthday gift from sephora. I usually go for powders and didn't even try it until weeks after. It really is the perfect shade. Many are too white, too shin, or too sparkley. This is the perfect color in a champagne very blendable color. I never thought i would like s solid highlighter. Will def buy the full size. — 1 month, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
