I am a fan of the Too Faced Shadow Insurance primer--it's my favorite (even more than UD primer potion). It really depends on the texture of your lid when it comes to preference of a eye shadow primer. This leaves a golden sheen that can be worn alone on the lid or brow bones, or you can put on shadow over this to give a golden shimmer to your shadow. You only need a little bit on your lid, less is more. I bought this thinking it would add sparkles and pizzazz. It didn't do anything. the best primer is Urban Decay. Sometimes I use Benefit Erase Paste under eyes and onto lids. this also really works. Full disclosure - this is my first eyeshadow primer, so I don't have much to compare it to. That's why I'm only giving it 8 stars instead of 10. BUT, it does everything it advertises. My eyeshadow stays put all day & night without creasing or getting oily & I have very oily lids. It also intensifies the color. It does a have shimmer, but not glitter (I hate glitter). The shimmer is just enough to brighten your eyes. Its also a good value. The tube is tiny, but you only need a tiny bit.
