I LOVE the body wash, it smells so nice and using it is my favorite part of every shower. I wouldn't it for bubble bath or shampoo like it says you can, but it's fantastic as a body wash. I use less than what I normally would use because it suds really well. The lip gloss tastes nice, but it can get a little sticky. I do like the golden shimmer in it, but I prefer other colors. For the price, this is $18, but it only has a 6 oz bottle with the lip gloss. Philosophy Birthday Girl
Personally, I love the food flavored Philosophy 3in1 shower gels, so vanilla birthday cake is one of my favorites. I use this as a bubble bath, shower gel, and shaving gel/cream. Most of you have probably used a Philosophy Shower Gel as a bubble bath and body wash, but you are missing out if you haven't tried this as a shaving gel/cream! My shave gets much closer, my legs are moisturized instead of dry, and this makes it easy to get a smooth shave. As far as the lip gloss, I like the flavor (vanilla birthday cake) but it does apply sticky. I do use the Philosophy lip glosses, but a little goes a very long way. You get to enjoy the fragrance of birthday cake while you bathe or shower, but you don't smell like a birthday cake all day. As you rinse the product away, so too, goes the scent. I'm not a fan of Philosophy products AT ALL, even though I've really tried to like them since everyone talks about them so much. The vanilla cake scent is nice, if you like vanilla (I do), though it is a bit on the sweet side. I don't think it makes good bubbles at all, so calling it a bubble bath is a huge stretch. Smells like chocolate
So this product is great and all, but to me the scent reminds me a lot like the godiva birthday cake bark. I know the soap is called birthday girl but I really wish it smelled less sweet. Maybe, I am biased because I do not really like that godiva bark so I couldn't give this product a perfect 10 but other than the smell I did not find anything else unlikeable. I got this as a gift from a friend and the only thing I didn't like too much in the set was the lip gloss, because of the smell. I liked the texture of the gloss, but could not bring myself to use this because the smell was just not appealing to me. the scent of the body wash was good because after washing it off it was very faint and did not linger, but I felt very clean and the soap did not dry out my skin which was a major plus. If i were to repurchase this I would just buy the body wash because I did not care too much for the other two items. I think this would be a great gift for people who enjoy the vanilla like smell of birthday cake. It smells like something that would appeal to the younger generation of girls, maybe girls who are in their teens. This makes a good gift for birthdays since there are three items to try, but if it was for yourself I do not recommend buying this set because there is only 6 oz of body wash!!! The lip gloss is good if you are a big fan of sheer sweet smelling products.
