disappointment
I got this lipstick in natural nymph, and found it to be absolutely horrible. It looks like a concealer, not a nude color, I don't know a person that color could look good on, being so chalky and too light. The texture is very odd too, it is thick, and doesn't go on smooth no matter what- blotchy and uneven. I tried combining it with chapstick, lipgloss, applying just a little bit- nothing helped, it still looked ugly and uneven. I don't know if other colors are of better quality, but definitely stay away from this one. Can buy something much better for the same price or less. Hey, even their essential lipsticks are MUCH MUCH better and prettier. I'm only giving these stars for packaging. — 5 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Pretty Good!
When I first received this lipstick, I was skeptical. It didn't really look right in the tube--sort of like there was some kind of film on it or something. When I tried it on, the shade was perfection (I think bought plum something or other), but I was a little unsure of the texture. I was afraid it might be a bit too dry. Several days later I actually picked it up to wear and now I'm in love. It has a matte finish and lasts really, really well. It is a tad dry, but no so much that it was uncomfortable (at least for me) and certainly less dryness than most other matte finish lip products I have used. This one is definitely a keeper and a product I would purchase again in other shades. — 2 weeks, 3 days agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Love!
At drugstore prices, I prefer this lipstick much more that those I can get off the shelves! ELF has outdone themselves with the preservatives and paraben free formula that also includes amazing color, smooth application, and long wear that moves with my lips! Ripe Rose is a matte lipstick, but is still moisturizing. No. I am not lying. And the soft rose color is a wonderful compliment to any day to night look. In Love!!
Great Lipsticks! My absolute favorites are Nicely Nude (light pink shade) and Pouty Petal (very wearable pretty pink color). I want all of them... except for the browns.. I don't wear brown lips. — 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Hit and miss?!
I have this in runway pink and it looks beautiful on my lips. I also have natural nymph (great nude color) but you have to make sure your lips are exfoliated and have no dead skin on them because that really shows through with this color. All around great pigment, smooth, and nice colors. — 6 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Chalky
I wanted to like this but it failed to meet my expectations. Packaging is cute and sleek, but the product applies chalky and blotchy. Staying power isn't all that great, maybe 4 hours max. — 11 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 2 people said helpful

Moisturizing!
These lipsticks are pretty good. I've got a few colors and they are really pigmented. The colors on the website were really close to the actual lipstick, so good stuff there. I used them over a lip primer or regular lip balm and get about 4 or 5 hours out of it. It really moisturizes my lips and looks really great. I don't use a lip liner and I didn't have any problems with it bleeding out onto the skin around my mouth. Even though these are only $5, they are a wonderful product and I can't wait to order them in every color!! — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

They are okay....
When I swatched these for the first time, it took a bit of rubbing and warming up to get any color to come off. Now that’s not a problem because the dry top layer has been taken off. They go on smoothly and they’re pretty creamy. My lips feel softer after I apply, but the feeling wears off in an hour or two. They seem to have a more matte finish than shine. Color Payoff: One word: SHEER. I have to apply 3-4 layers for them to show up. One thing that I don’t like about having to apply so many layers when I use the lighter shades is that it feels heavy on my lips. I feel like I just want to rub it off! I noticed that if I apply, blot, apply, and blot, it doesn’t feel as thick and icky. These don’t have a very good lasting power. I have to reapply often. Overall I’m really satisfied with these lipsticks, but they still have poor lasting power, and bad packaging, but beautiful vibrant colors and great price. I purchased the Lipsticks all together on a 50% off sale several weeks ago. I don’t have a large collection of lipsticks so I was hoping to buy a few of their products to give them a try and additionally to try different shades on myself. The price is fantastic and definitely would be great for a gift or for someone who’s starting out a makeup kit. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
