ANOTHER HIT FROM ELF!
There is a pervasive attitude which I come against all the time when reviewing cosmetics--paying more money does NOT necessarily mean that you are getting a superior product. Many times you do indeed "get what you pay for," but there are companies like ELF which offer amazing kits, like this palette, worth far more than the pittance you pay. No, the shadows are not as luxurious as Dior or MAC, but they are highly pigmented and surprisingly easy to work with, apply, and blend. Once in awhile you may find a shade where you have more difficulty getting the amount of color you need, but there's probably another one just like it in the palette which will satisfy you. What I love about ELF is that they offer several gradations of the same shade--for example, they will begin with the most light blue and follow through until you reach a vivid, hard-to-find cobalt. Sometimes Urban Decay puts together palettes with no seeming rhyme or reason to the color combination; not so with ELF. The colors wear very well over a good primer, do not crease, and do not flake. The lip colors are also a bit shocking--they are more substantive than glosses, more like little wells of real lipstick. They last a good bit of time, especially over a lip primer and when applied with a lipstick brush (of course, you can always use your finger for touch-ups). The beauty of these palettes is that you can mix shades and create your own signature hues. The "warm" palette has hues of cream, ecru, taupe, brown, copper, and amethyst. A smoky eye is extremely easy to achieve with these, and you don't have to worry about carrying around individual pots of color. Review: E.L.F. Studio Little Black Beauty Book
I have the Cool Edition and it is great! I love the pigmentation of the shadows, and the lip colors are very moisturizing. Overall, the shaodws are very pigmented except one blue one. The pigmentaion is better on the silkier feeling eyeshadows. Most have a powdery texture(not to powdery, just right) but some have a slky feel almost like my Stila eyeshadows. The shadows last all day, and don't crea...read morese. At least with the primer I have been using, I have been using Urban Decay, Tarte "Lifted", Smashbox Photo Finish, or Benefit Stay Dont Stray. Overall, the shadows are great and they remind me alot of the texture of the E.L.F. Brightening Eye Color Quads as well as Stila shadows. Some shadows are more pigmented then others, but overall they are great. As for the lip glosses, they are so pigmented I dont even call them glosses! They are like somone just melted down lipsticks and stuck them in little pans. They are not incredibly long lasting, but they are not to bad. The applicator is not very good, but it is easy to just use a brush. Not bad

Great little kit!
I got this in the Cool Kit. Love the color selection for both eyes and lips. I can create many looks with this. Very travel friendly. My only thing about this kit is there needs to be a plastic insert to help prevent the eyeshadow powder from getting into the lip color. Otherwise, it can get messy. yes, the title says it all. I bought this eyeshadow pack around 3 months ago from an online beauty shop here in Indonesia. initially I picked the Warm set, for I thought I'd need only neutral colors for my personal use. but then I decided to buy another set, because I really like the product and I needed more colors for special occasions and studio photography. the pros are : with such low price (...read moreI bought for around $13/set), this package gives nice pigmentation and comes in various shades. you can pick any color that suits the occasion easily. besides, these shadows work very well with primer/base from other brand (I use NYX eyeshadow primer) and doesn't crack easily the cons are : some aren't as highly pigmented as the others.
