Not my cup of tea

I liked that the product is all natural, but it made my face red and irritated. I had to stop using it to make my face stop burning.

A bit drying - but it works! Amazing price...

Wow... Really surprised at all the negative reviews for this product... I actually liked this cleanser very much, and I can't stop recommending it every time I talk "facial cleansers" with people, especially if they have blemishes or very oily skin... I guess this product works very differently with everyone... It might possibly depend on your pH level... For my combination skin - it works very ...read morewell. I do find it drying, but not terribly so... Since I always moisturise, this isn't really a problem for me at all... The most important factor which I do care about is that it works... I cleared up my skin in about a week, when I was surviving the consequences of I uncontrollably consuming a crazy amount of ice cream and chocolate in just a few days... I liked the scent; it smells leafy, but not quite like green tea; I would say that it has a herbal scent. It foams very well and leaves my skin feeling perfectly clean... I've seen reviews where people commented that this cleanser doesn't "cleanse", and I must say that I feel completely the opposite in this regard... Maybe it depends on how you are applying the cleanser? I honestly have no idea. Personally, I always use one pump on my regular facial sponge (the small, round natural loofah kind), which is what I would do with any cleanser, and just pass it all over my face pressing very gently. I do that for about a minute or so and then rinse everything off... And the price for this cleanser is amazing, in my opinion as well... In Canada (and I'm sure it's close to what you would pay in the US) I pay $3.99 for the regular 200 ml container, which (when used daily) should last you for about two months. Very hard to beat that deal... In spite of most reviewers here, I would highly recommend this cleanser for anyone who suffers from blemishes or has oily or combination skin.

Not Good At All For Me

I actually used the St. Ives Green Tea Blemish Control Facial Scrub, but it isn't listed here. It claims to be soothing and calming to sensitive skin while clearing up acne blemishes. I'm cursed with both hormonal acne as well as mild rosacea, so I wanted something to effectively get rid of my zits but that was also not going to exacerbate my redness. I used this three times and had to stop. My sk...read morein was dry, peeling and flaking and my rosacea only flared up more. My skin actually hurt. Whatever formulation this is, it doesn't work. Do not use this if you have the least bit of sensitivity!

Not for me

I didn't like the feeling this cleanser left my skin after using it. I didn't feel like I got a deep clean which is what a face cleanser should do.

Ruined my skin

I regret ever putting this on my face. And I even used it for a whole month before I realized it's what was causing my skin problems. For the first week, it did clear up my skin a bit. But then my skin got really dry. Then I broke out all over my face, even my cheeks where I had never had acne before, and my nose area, chin, and cheeks peeled horribly. I don't know what ingredient caused this reaction, but I would definitely not use this product if your skin is even a little sensitive or dry.

Green Tea is in this?! Psh, whatever.

First of, it's natural! Yay! Go St. Ives! You got one think right with the cleasner, but that might be the only thing... It broke my face out, made my naturally flushed face even worse, and dried out my skin. Absolutly awful. It ONLY gets 2 stars because I loved a natural product, unfortunetly, this isn't a good one :/

Decent

Not my favorite product, but only because it's very drying. I did enjoy the scent and the scrubbing effect but the cleanser was a bit harsh for my skin.

I love it!

Well, I have very oily/acne prone skin and the Green Tea Scrub worked very nicely, so I was undoubtedly going to try this. It really cleans my face without leaving it dry or tight. I've been using this in conjunction with the scrub (in the morning) and this cleanser in the evening and I have seen an amazing difference in my skin appearance. The redness is almost gone and the salicylic acid does a ...read moregood job of keeping blackheads at bay. I know a lot of people don't like this product, but I love it! The only downfall is that is contains SLS and, therefore, burns a bit when I get some in my eye. If you have oily (all over) or acne prone skin, I really suggest you try this. I don't know how well it works by itself, though. The scrub is something else I love, and you can see that I did a review of that product, too. P.S. It smells delicious!
