Like my Grandmother's perfume...

YSL Parisienne
I received a sample in the mail and I waited to try it. I was going out and decided to apply it after my shower. I started with just a spritz between my breasts, since I don't like to overapply scent and I had never tried it before. I was immediately happy that I hadn't done more than one spritz. It was a much heavier scent than I usually use. I decided to only use that one spritz to check it and...read more make sure it would fade over time. The scent lasted for hours. I found it overpowering when first applied, but as the night went on, it lightened, but never left. During the evening, I would be sitting and talking and notice the scent again. It changed and lightened and was actually quite nice, since most fragrances usually disappear after a few hours. I went home, slept, got up the next day and I could still smell it. It didn't go away until I showered. I could smell it on my blouse in the laundry basket a day later. It wasn't until I did my laundry that it went away. Don't overapply this fragrance unless you want to have it permeate the room you are in all night long. Beautiful Fragrance
Typically I stay far away from any fragrance that has any hint of roses but this fragrance is beautiful. The rose note is not overpowering and combined with the other notes of blackberry and sandalwood it's amazingly feminine. I received this as a sample and got tons of compliments on it...lasted all day long. I'm a Backwards Duck
One of the least popular pefumes, and yet I love it. I got my sample yesterday and I did what I normally never do, put it on. I tend to hoard samples, which is silly. It has an older overtone, but once it simmered down and mixed with my chemistry, it smelled sensaul and romantic. I loved the mix. Perfume is such a subjetive thing. Very strong

Fantastic!
I've loved YSL's Paris since I was a little girl because my mother wore it, so I was excited to smell Parisienne... and I wasn't disappointed! This will be added to my list of favorite scents. Old Woman Meets Cedar Chest

Too sweet
I personally didn't like the scent at all. It was too sweet for me. My friend however loved it. She said that the scent to her, was not too heavy. She liked that it had a light sweet smell.
