Pretty Parisienne
This newest YSL fragrance is a nice mix of rose, violet and sweetness. It's not perfect and not as beautiful as the original Paris from years ago, but it is nice in it's own way. The rose is not heavy or powdery, and there is a light hint of musk and woods. My newest fragrance obsession is YSL's Parisienne! It's a soft, floral and fruity fragrance that does not overpower. different, but good
As soon as I opened the box, I liked the packaging. It's very sophisticated with a prism like cut to the lavendar colored glass bottle. I definitely wouldn't mind putting this on top of my vanity. I like to spray a few spritzes in my hair so that the scent lasts longer. To me, the scent was floral and rosey but with an edge of fruit and exoticness. It's not like anything else out there on the market. The scent lasts a good while and even seems to change and evolve over time. I knew the boyfriend loved it because he couldn't stop sniffing me! He kept saying, "Look at you smelling like a grown woman!" LOL! This is also very reasonably priced ranging from $39 to $85 depending on the size. Ahh Kate looks fabulous, enticing us to try the new YSL Parisienne. I've never been to Paris. Could the scent take me there? Will this be a Parisian experience? Is this the way Paris, the city of romance smells? Deep, sensuous, edgy, mysterious, seductive? Too traditional not for me
I expected something more exciting from this product. It smells more like sandlewood than rose. I put it on in the afternoon and could smell it even in the evening. moody yet captivating
Well, upon opening my sample I was pleasantly surprised. It was quite overpowering but yet, smelled simply wonderful. I even asked my 19 y/o her opinion - and believe me - we have quite different tastes - and she wanted it - but I had to try it myself to see what I thought. On the initial wrist sprays, I found the scent to be quite overpowering and cloying. In other words, I felt rather suffoc...read moreated. However, after about 30 minutes it calmed down quite abit. The scent is subtle - yet has a distinctive uniqueness about it. I'm not good at differentiating the various scents - but I do sense the rose and sandlewood. It is a perfect mesh in my opinion. The scent lasted for over 8 hours on me. I would have to say this would work better in the evening for me as it seems to strong for daytime use. not to my taste
It's a floral scent , heavy on the rose. I usually love rose scents but as my fiance says "it smells like something my grandmother used to wear." It's just not a very appealing scent. If you're looking for something floral ..... look somewhere else.
