Yves Saint Laurent Beauty Parisienne Eau de Parfum Spray Reviews

For those who fear a heavy fall scent.
This fragrance was too light for a Fall fragrance for my taste, it would have been a great spring/summer scent. It had a wonderfully light powdery exotic scent. The top notes are just so rich and fruity with a touch of warmth. When the scent finally settled it had a rose tone to it, the same undertone of their face creams I use. So why buy a fragrance that smells like my face cream?? That and the scent didn't last past 20 minutes on my skin. Now My skin is dry and if I layered it with the matching lotion I might get a bit more lasting power but I fear not much because of how light a scent it is. — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Floral/Musky/Woodsy
This scent stays with you. I could smell it all day. Smells STRONG for my liking. A Very different fragrance becasue it is Floral, Musky and Woodsy, all combined into one. Drastically different than any other YSL fraagrance. Summer frangrance smell. Pricey. — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

A subtle, woodsy floral for an evening out
Sandalwood makes this floral a good pick for date night. Most florals are at their best in the daytime, but YSL's Parisienne is too woodsy for the for the office. On me, the tartness of the blackberry was particularly apparent, and I was disappointed that the smell faded so quickly. The blah bottle is also a letdown. — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

powdery floral sweetness
i prefer my perfumes to be citrusy or "green" (fresh & clean), and usually avoid overly sweet floral and woodsy scents. if you're like me, don't bother w/ parisienne. it starts out overwhelmingly sweet with a hit of jammy blackberry and then gives way to another layer of sweetness, this time a strong rose and powdery scent. "grand floral" = grandma floral. i'll give some points for lasting power, one spritz went a long way...to bad it's not my style =( ***i was lucky enough to score a free sample of this product*** — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Too light and sweet
This parfum is sweet, almost like something that could be manufactured by Disney as one of its Princess line scents. It claims to have woodsy notes, but all I could detect was the floral one. I know that parfums are affected by each person's chemistry, so maybe this is why all I detected was floral. Aside from being to flowery for my personal taste, it didn't last for more than an hour or so. I was really hoping for a more sophisticated scent, especially from YSL. — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 4 people said helpful

Yummmmm!
I was a little hesitant about using this since I tend to stick to fresh clean scents and YSL tends to be a little heavy and strong...but not this! It smelly yummy on...a little woodsy with vanilla. It's soft, sweet and a little citrisy, but not sickly sweet. It's also not heavy at all. I'm pretty picky about my scents, but this is a keeper! — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Enchanting
Beautiful scent of florals & woods but does not last. I had to spray the same spot 3x to get a faint scent on me. — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

A perfect fall/winter fragrance
Absolutely delicious... And absolutely not what I would usually like in a fragrance. I like the huskiness of this. It's beautiful! I feel like if this scent were a person, it would be a sugared down version of Sophia Loren. So sexy, a little unexpected, but you LOVE it once you get acquainted. Usually I like nothing other than fruity citruisy pink little girl smells. This completely changed my mind!! I am sad that I only have a sample size of this - but I can't wait to buys nice big beautiful bottle and make this my mainstay for fall and winter!!! Love it. — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Give it time to 'set' and you'll be pleased
I admit, I am not a fan of rose scents to begin with. I find that scent to elude to an older woman, just as many previous reviewers have pointed out. I'm 30, and when I first sprayed the scent on, I thought I was too young for the scent, but that I would wear it until it was gone to get a full sense of what others may think. I liked that after the first whiff, it faded into the woodsy spectrum and the rose scent was much softer. After wearing it, my husband noticed and offered the standard 'you smell nice'. I had a few classmates comment that they noticed the smell and thought it was nice and not too perfume-y. Overall I like the scent, but I have to say that I would not purchase the scent, as it does not match me and my personality. I would also not recommend this for anyone in their early 20's, but for the late 20's and up, I think this is a nice day fragrance. — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 5 people said helpful
