Yves Saint Laurent Beauty Parisienne Eau de Parfum Spray Reviews

LOVE this
It took me a couple times at sephora to spritz this onto a sample sheet to get used to it. I'm really glad I bought this. It's a fantastic price and it smells beautiful after I got used to it. It's a sheer sweet floral scent. It's perfect for summer. It doesn't last that long though, that's my biggest complaint; but that doesn't stop me from liking to re-spritz. — 1 year, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

Disappointing
Although I'm not a fan of Kate Moss, I loved the magazine sample of this--it smelled sweet and rosy, yet sophisticated, which is exactly what I like. I was thrilled when I received a sample tube to try out. YSL.com claims this scent smells of Blackberry - Damask Rose - Sandalwood, which I didn't really smell... Upon first spray I could smell the Rose and Berry tones, but they quickly faded. Then I could slightly smell the Vinyl, with a lot of strong Rose scent. Eventually, Parisienne dried down into a baby powder scent with a tiny bit of musk/sandalwood? and maybe a bit of Vinyl, Berry and Rose somewhere in there. PROS: A nice fragrance. GORGEOUS bottle. CONS: Not as long lasting as I would expect from YSL. While pleasant, I don't think I'll run out and buy it. It's nice but the baby powder scent isn't really my type. Definitely worth giving a test, to see how it reacts with your skin. — 3 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Very rosey
I like rose but as a soap not a perfume, and this is what this smells like. I don't think it's terrible but I was hoping for a more woodsy scent as opposed to roses. Smells like something my grandmother might had worn, but not for me. Not to mention it says it's "woody structure" but all I smell is roses. — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

smells like an old woman
This perfume reminds me of my grandma, which is already a bad thing. I do not like this scent because it is kind of musky and way too strong for me. Someone who is a teen or in their 20's cannot get away with this perfume, something more flirty will do. I like that it is flowery and fruity, but it is very strong and not the kind of floral perfume that a younger person like me would wear. bottom line: ew. its too mature. but hey, my mom really liked it! — 3 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 5 people said helpful

Not bad!
I have a sample of this and I don't think it's so bad! I think it's fine for daytime wear and it seems to last well. I didn't notice anything powdery or "old lady" about it. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

So sweet!
I received a sample of this perfume and I absolutely love it. It has a berry scent to it that I love the most. The packaging says sandalwood also (which I don't like) but it mixed well with the other scents and I think it makes a perfectly balanced fragrance. — 3 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Overpowering scent
This Yves Saint Laurent perfume smells like potpourri. The scent is overpowering, therefore, a few drops are strong enough. I don't know how the full-size bottle works, but I would hope it will not spray too much at once. It lasts quite long, but since I like perfume which does not give an obvious impression that I wear, Yves Saint Laurent Beauty Parisienne will not make it to my wish list. — 3 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Feminine
Parisienne, by Yves Saint Laurent, is a very feminine perfume. No doubt about it. At first spritz, the blackberry hits the nostrils, before the roses take over. It really isn't something that I would personally wear since floral fragrances are very "girly," and not something I feel completely comfortable in. The scent is light, though – not overbearing with the roses. Kate Moss, in her commercial, makes the perfume look sexy, and with the Sandalwood to tone things down, the perfume can settle into a sexier scent over time. The bottle is quite lovely and the price at Sephora for 1 oz. is very reasonable. I would recommend to someone looking for a light, feminine, upper-end perfume at a reasonable price. — 3 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

sheer rosy, citrusy, berry
This sprays on as a very sweet (way too sugary sweet for me) damask rose floral, that is light and sheer. As it dries down, the berry notes surface with a hint of citrus. It then tranforms into a weak citrusy rose smell, that reminds me of Stella, but much less vibrant. It is okay. I may use up my sample, was not really impressed and will not be purchasing it. — 3 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful
