    Light but Pretty

    by sweettpea29 (66 reviews)

I first read the sample card and when I saw Sandalwood, I thought that the scent was going to be very heavy. However, when I spritzed it, the scent was very light. The scent actually reminded me of a sticker that I received in Kindergarten...yes a sticker I received in Kindergarten. It was a Jamberry sticker. Jamberry i...s a book about a boy that finds berries and that was exactly how this sticker smelled liked berries. This scent smells exactly like the sticker. Light, fresh and not too overpowering. I could still smell traces of the scent on my clothes 24 hours after it had been sprayed (a little test I do to find out the lasting power of scents). October 10, 2009, 7:28 am

I don't have it because at the moment i dont have enough money for it but whenever I go to the mall i get samples of this perfume. It is so light and soft. I love it soo much. I;m saving up to buy it. The scent is very flowery and some what sweet. I definetly recommend to get this. December 21, 2009, 9:55 pm

If you prefer a floral-woodsy scent, you might like this

    by cheetah11 (152 reviews)

I got a sample of this in the mail to review and I would describe this perfume as woodsy and floral at the same time. When I first applied it on, the floral aspect of it was more overpowering than the woodsy scent. As the day wore on, it was the reverse in that the scent gave way to a more subtle woodsy essence. There wa...sn't any alcohol smell, which is a plus. I did not, however, detect any Damask Rose or red berries, which this perfume is supposed to depict. Instead, this perfume reminds me of an overpowering floral-woodsy incense, especially when first applied. Keep in mind that I'm trying to describe something that is highly subjective. With MY skin chemistry, this is how the scent turned out. Your experience *may* vary. With this said, I prefer a more lighthearted, oriental woodsy smell as opposed to an overpowering floral-woodsy one. I would describe this perfume as "mature" as opposed to "innocent." Still, I could get used to this and may consider purchasing a full size bottle in the future. October 3, 2009, 7:41 pm

Smells like an old french lady...

    by This1sAhKilla (52 reviews)
    Top 500 ReviewerTrusted Review
It's what I imagine some old French Hag who thinks she is high class would wear. It's very strong at first, but as it wears, it doesn't smell as bad. Deff nothing I would ever buy for myself. Wouldn't pay the money. This purfume is not for the 60 under crowd. I could still smell it on my arms when I went to bed, deff not a ...good thing. I'm sure the quality of it is good, but who looks at that when it smells like your Great-Grandma? October 10, 2009, 2:02 pm

    Smells old

    by amygab1126 (194 reviews)
    Top 100 ReviewerTrusted Review
After an hour of wearing a single spritz of this perfume, I found myself furiously trying to wash it off my arm. I just hate it. It was tolerable at first, if not something I particularly liked. The rose and blackberries were the dominant scents. After about 15 minutes, however, all sweetness faded and I was left mainly wit...h what I assume is the smell of sandalwood, per the perfume's description, and the smell of dried-up roses. I generally dislike "woody" scents, and I just could not stand this. The combo of wood and rose screams "old lady" to me. I can see a woman in her sixties who smokes a lot of cigarettes and wears too much jewelery, and perhaps fur coats, wearing this - not a 27-year-old Michigan mom like myslef. old lady in a forest scent

    by misspiggy (95 reviews)
    Top 500 ReviewerTrusted Review
I don't know, it's ok. It's not the best and far from the worst. It just reminds me of my grandmother and trees. It's kind of strong, like if you walk by someone, they smell it, but it doesn't linger like others do. I guess it's something I'd try for free, but not buy. But the bottle is beautiful! smells like an old woman

    by kenya (106 reviews)
    Top 500 ReviewerTrusted Review
This perfume reminds me of my grandma, which is already a bad thing. I do not like this scent because it is kind of musky and way too strong for me. Someone who is a teen or in their 20's cannot get away with this perfume, something more flirty will do. I like that it is flowery and fruity, but it is very strong and not the... kind of floral perfume that a younger person like me would wear. bottom line: ew. its too mature. but hey, my mom really liked it! Dated Fragrance

    by misskellie (55 reviews)
    Top 500 Reviewer
Instantly reminded me of a older woman who wears too much perfume. Its not super heavy, but it has that dated fragrance. It is not youthful at all. Floral-ish baby powder smell with sandalwood underneath. Thankfully, it didn't last long at all. Not a favorite but maybe my grandma would like it. October 12, 2009, 1:48 pm

If you want to smell like your mother-in-law...

    by annelise (75 reviews)
    Top 500 Reviewer
...Then this perfume is for you. I liked the toned down florals and woodsy scent, but it just smelled too much like something my mother-in-law would wear to compliment her velour sweatsuit. I normally get lots of compliments on my perfumes, but this one didn't get me any the whole week that I tested it. My boyfriend even... said it wasn't one that he preferred. I'm sure some people really like that it's not too strong, but it really was just too foresty and old-fashioned for me. The benefit of this product is that it lasted all day... but that's about it :) October 12, 2009, 12:22 pm

    Too light and sweet

    by radar626 (241 reviews)
    Top 100 ReviewerTrusted Review
This parfum is sweet, almost like something that could be manufactured by Disney as one of its Princess line scents. It claims to have woodsy notes, but all I could detect was the floral one. I know that parfums are affected by each person's chemistry, so maybe this is why all I detected was floral. Aside from being to fl...owery for my personal taste, it didn't last for more than an hour or so. I was really hoping for a more sophisticated scent, especially from YSL. October 11, 2009, 11:30 pm
