The cosmetics industry is convinced that yellow neutralizes red, and they keep coming up with products like this one when the only thing that consistently works is to cover redness with regular old foundation. Clinique's Redness Solutions Mineral Powder deserves props for its superfine texture, but all it does is cover up the redness, so your red spots become yellow. Thought this is very expensive, it is a great product. I got hooked on Clinique because my mom loves it. And now this is my favorite High end makeup brand. As you all know, my favorite brand is Elf. But that's beside the point, this is a great quality product and last a while. They also sell a compact vision of this for easy travel, which I also love. I personally love clinique products! And highly suggest this, especially if you have acne or any other skin problem that causes redness. I don't have a lot of redness, but I use it more as a skin tone balancer/booster! I love this! Elf also sells a yellow powder called "elf mineral booster in corrective yellow" that is 5$. I will pick that up and do a review on that too. This clinique one is one of my favorite loose powder. Over all this is a wonderful product, though it could be a little less pricey, you get what you pay for. Just be sure to use a different brush or one of those flat pressed powder sponges to apply. The one included with the product is no good. I first tried this powder in Sephora and was standing in the corner, amazed at how the red patches on both cheeks almost instantly disappeared. I bought it after trying it out several times with the same awesome result and am very, very happy. I have slight redness on both cheeks and some redness around my nose. I always put on my sunscreen/moisturizer and the Clinique Powder followed by Bare Minerals. The powder feels silky and is milled super-fine ~ be careful during application so it doesn't go flying everywhere. (I once went out with a black top and yellow powder all over my chest, unbeknownst to me!) This product definitely works for me ~ it's soothing, calming and feels cool on my flushy, red patches. BE SURE TO BLEND so you don't get a coating of yellowish powder sitting on top of your skin. I blend and have no problems ~ and I have a deeper olive complexion.
