Excellent for red skin
This mineral powder really does what it says. I dip the brush in, dab off the extra, and do circles on the areas of my face that are inflamed. It looks like my naturally tan skin with no redness! The color of the mineral is yellowish so be careful not to overdo it or you will look silly. BLEND, BLEND, BLEND.....And It Works Beautifully!
Just be sure to use a different brush to apply. The one included with the product is no good. I first tried this powder in Sephora and was looking in the mirrorr, amazed at how the red patches on both cheeks almost instantly disappeared. I bought it after trying it out several times with the same awesome result and am very, very happy. I have rosacea on both cheeks and some redness around my nose....read more I always put on sunscreen/moisturizer and the Clinique Powder followed by Bare Minerals. The powder feels silky and is milled super-fine ~ be careful during application so it doesn't go flying everywhere. (I once went out with a black top and yellow powder all over my chest, unbeknownst to me!) This product definitely works for me ~ it's soothing, calming and feels cool on my flushy, red patches. BE SURE TO BLEND so you don't get a coating of yellowish powder sitting on top of your skin. I blend and have no problems ~ and I have a deeper olive complexion. In fact, when I'm in a hurry, I sweep this on and am out the door, knowing my skin is more even in appearance and natural-looking. Great product to invest in for those with rosacea or reactive redness. It IS pricey, but it's lasting me a long time and makes my skin look great and me feel so much better about my appearance, that it's worth it. Replaces red with yellow
The cosmetics industry is convinced that yellow neutralizes red, and they keep coming up with products like this one when the only thing that consistently works is to cover redness with regular old foundation. Clinique's Redness Solutions Mineral Powder deserves props for its superfine texture, but all it does is cover up the redness, so your red spots become yellow. Great at Concealing...for most people
I find that Clinique's yellow powders (both this one and the new pressed version) just don't sit well on my skin. I'm so pale that the yellow gives my skin a yellowed tint and it's just not flattering. Make sure your skin is nicely moisturized (with the daily relief cream) and exfoliated with the mild clarifying lotion before applying this over or under your makeup and you will probably love it! new necessity for me
I am near 40 and have oily/red/splotchy skin. Sun damage. Pricey, but worth the price for now. Fine powder that temporarily camoflauges redness. I suggest a primer w/ foundation along with this for perfect/longer coverage. It helps control my oilslick nose area too. I found the brush semi-soft and useful. My skin is super sensitive so the brush did irritate me a little. Don't use a sponge or puff....read more Just use the softest brush you have if you don't like the given one. Great product!
Thought this is very expensive, it is a great product. I got hooked on Clinique because my mom loves it. And now this is my favorite High end makeup brand. As you all know, my favorite brand is Elf. But that's beside the point, this is a great quality product and last a while. They also sell a compact vision of this for easy travel, which I also love. I personally love clinique products! And highl...read morey suggest this, especially if you have acne or any other skin problem that causes redness. I don't have a lot of redness, but I use it more as a skin tone balancer/booster! I love this! Elf also sells a yellow powder called "elf mineral booster in corrective yellow" that is 5$. I will pick that up and do a review on that too. This clinique one is one of my favorite loose powder. Over all this is a wonderful product, though it could be a little less pricey, you get what you pay for. Not the best...but pretty great!
I'm happy with this mineral powder. First of all, I'm super-happy each time I put it on because you get the greatest wake me up cooling sensation. It's not tingly, just cooling. I like how my skin looks matte but not papery after applicaiton. I've found applying the powder with an acutal foundation brush gives me the best coverage. Great!
I really like this stuff. It helps reduce redness and evens out skin tone without making you look like a Twilight character. I use this under mineral foundation and my skin looks great. Also helps absorb oil.
