Very Expensive
powerwoman033 (509 reviews)I own the Instyler and it smooths out my hair very nicely. I still have never been able to get curls which really bugs me. There are a lot less expensive hair irons out there that work even better. — 2 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

I can't believe it worked!
BeautyJunkieAmber (231 reviews)Like any heat styling tool, it took me a little practice-- but not for very long. To be honest, after brushing up on a few of the techniques in the short videos on their site you would think I had been styling my hair with it for weeks with success. I couldn't believe how easy it was once I got the basics down and that it wasn't a flimsy little metal & plastic combo to be used a few times and then tossed in the bin with a few of my older heat tools. With 3 heat settings, a rotating barrel that gets seriously hot, and a comb that helps you detangle, separate, and smooth-- it actually worked incredibly well. But like I said, not without trial and error. In the first 5 minutes, you know I had to go and burn my forehead really good because I didn't pay attention to how close I had the barrel to my head when I was working on my bangs! I've burned my forehead with many a curling iron in all of my years, so it was no big deal-- but I made a mental note to myself to make sure to tell you to be careful with the barrel and not get it too close. It seems like a no-brainer, I know-- but I did it anyway! A few of the challenges you may have out-of-the box: • sliding it throughout the length of your hair too quickly, or not in a smooth & steady motion • placing too much or not enough tension up against the barrel • not using the correct size of a section of hair in the InStyler • waking up your significant other at 7am because it's a little on the loud side while in motion! If you're mindful of these important factors, it shouldn't be too difficult to create flips, add volume and bounce, straighten, or add curls and more to your style. — 2 years, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 7 people said helpful

recommend for thinning hair and curls only
vickysavann (6 reviews)bought it and used it in my long already silky straight hair and it turned the opposite. it dried out my hair and made it look nappy. if u already have great hair don't use it. its good for those who have very thin hair and those who wants the bouncy curls. all your better with a flat iron. — 1 month, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

crys_mendez (2 reviews)I absolutely love the Instyler! Feels like I just got my hair done at the salon when I'm finished & I'm not even a Stylist! I've used it at any length (Chopped my hair off) — 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Returned Product
carleenharper (1 reviews)I returned the Iron because it did work on my hair. I have long thin curly hair. It damage my hair and was hard to work it. On their commercial they went on and on how you can return it if you are unhappy with it. So I thought well it is worth a try. Well they did not mention that you have to pay shipping and a restocking fee. Just a way to charge us more money. I still returned it anyway and got some of my money back, not like I was going to use it. If you do not have super healthy hair I would not buy this...and really for the money, this product is just not worth it! I just use a ceramic flat iron to get my hair straight and then if I want curls I use a ceramic large barrel iron. No need to add the rotatation — 2 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

vanessa_dulisse (18 reviews)This thing is ghetto. It yanks your hair, hurts & doesn't smooth your hair. It only gets the 2nd star b/c it is comfy to hold. — 2 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

It's Pretty Good
sarah_cipriano (5 reviews)This is a great product. It made my hair nice, smooth and shiny everytime I used it. But, I didn't use it very often, and One day while I was using it, it just broke. It works so well, but it broke easily while it was still pretty new. Since then I've been using other flatirons that are much better. — 2 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
