  Love these!

  So far I have only bought one color of these stains, but I fully intend to go back for more. The color is really, really pretty and natural (think of how your lips might look after snogging for a bit) and last for a super long time. But please, learn from my mistakes- do not apply just like a marker- it will DEFINITELY be o...verkill. What I do now is make a few dots across my lips and blend with one of my fingers- it gives just the perfect amount of stain. February 18, 2009, 8:38 am

  Undecided....

  The Outlast Lip Stain did stain as promised, but the tip of the applicator was dry after just 3 uses!!! At first I thought, maybe the top came off w/o my knowledge, or maybe I should store it tilted w/ the top down so the solution can rundown to the tip; so I ran to the store and purchased another, only to get the exact sam...e results! Is there a trick to keeping the applicator wet/moist? If there isn't, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT, because it would be a waste of $7.00. July 22, 2009, 4:51 am

  you get a felt tip marker type wand in a great selection of shades at a drug store low price of around 7$, and what you have inside is a true lip stain, not a drying long wear gloss. its absolutly liquid inside, and you should put it on completly clean, dry lips, with no chapping or peeling bc the color will be much darker... and longer lasting on the dry skin parts and may sting a little in any cracks. other than that it lasts and lasts, 4+ hours and you can leave it by itself for a matte finish, add clear lipbalm for a semimatte look or clear gloss for a shiny, translucent bright colored finish. you can layer the stain untill you get the depth of color you want, making it even more versatile, and if you put the stain under colored glosses, shimmer or glitter shades you already have well, even more fun! it really is a perfect all around addition and tons of fun. hit.   VERY disappointing!

  I was really excited about this product because for the 1st two days it worked great, but saddly DRIED OUT and was USELESS by day 3! I brought it on an island vacation and saddly was without lip-color for the trip because I didnt anticipate the dry out. I would NOT recommend this product. June 19, 2009, 7:45 pm

  I love these lipstains from CoverGirl. I'm totally horrible for forgetting to reapply lipstick. Using the lipstains, I can apply and just use chapstick the rest of the day which I always remember for my dry lips. These stains also don't dry out lips more like some other lipstains do and they're pretty affordable. The co...lor lasts too. I wear it all day and reapply that evening if I'm going out.   Good lip stain for the price

  I've tried a lot of lipstains from expensive ones to real cheap, dime store ones and I must say this is one of those stains that gives me the "I just drank Kool Aid" look. In other words, it looks like a stain should. A couple of things really appealed to me when I saw this. One was the felt pen type applicator..., which makes application precise and easy. This is the kind of applicator I always try to look for when purchasing stains. The other appealing aspect is the selection of colors. A lot of expensive stains only have 1,2 or at the most 3 color selections and the lot of them have only pink based colors which doesn't suit my skin tone well. This line actually has a warm color. I got one in Coy Coral (which is real flattering on me) and Flirty Nude which also works very well. This stain doesn't feel too drying on the lips either but just like with other stains, it's best to top it off with some lip balm for added moisture. May 9, 2009, 10:18 pm

  OMG this is the worst product of its kind!

  I was thrilled to see Cover Girl came out with a stain. Priced right too. I bought the most natural looking shade, and was surprised to see that the applicator tip stayed relatively dry and ineffective as soon as I tried using it. There isn't any way to increase the flow of stain into the tip either, and it barely managed t...o trace my lower lip, forget about the top lip. I tried using a little water to moisten the tip and that barely worked. Even when stored upside down, gravity did not help it work any better. This product really sucks. Totally useless.   Pretty great!

  I think it's a great value, especially for the price. It seems to last several hours, and I like the color even more after it fades a bit. I have used Everbloom Kiss and Flirty Nude. Everbloom Kiss is a berry color and Flirty Nude is more of a coral. If you go to Cover Girl's website, you can put in your hair/eye/skin color... and it'll recommend the right shades for you! That was helpful, since you can't try on colors at the drugstore. Like other reviewers have mentioned, don't just put it on like a marker. I draw a thin line across my lips and use my finger to spread it out, layering until I get the right color. With this product, less seems to be more. June 1, 2009, 11:43 am

  I thought this was going to be my answer for not having to reapply color all day long, but sadly, it wasn't. The stain went on easily and looked pretty good, but once I started drinking something, the very middle of my botton lip faded out. It looked really strange, pretty color everywhere but in the middle of my bottom l...ip !! If the color had stayed true evenly, I would've loved it. May 11, 2009, 5:29 am

  I did not have high hopes for this product but was surprised at how well this works!This stain is so easy to use with its marker-type applicator, and does give that nice stained look when dry. The color on the one I have (Plum Pout) is very bright and intense but you could use it with a lighter touch if desired. It stays su...rprisingly well; at least 3 hours for me (including eating and drinking) before it started to fade a little in the center, but at the end of the day there is still quite a bit left. I use a lip balm over it because it is a little dry. Also it does not transfer or get on your teeth. I'm going to go back and try the other colors now! February 22, 2009, 10:13 pm
