This candle does smell like fresh cut roses, but there is something else about it that keeps it from feeling fresh and light. It is almost as if there is a touch of baby powder scent in it. For some reason it smells very mature to me – as in something that I would find in a nursing home. There is a hint of decay in it, like if you left out a vase of roses for too long. Thus, this scent is not one of my favorites. However, I have family members who love this scent and don’t smell the same undertones I do. The candle does burn pretty true to scent though I think it is a bit heavier in the air than in the jar. It certainly does burn very floral as the name would indicate.
