Smells fake
Judging by the name of the candle, Vanilla Cupcake, and the picture on the candle, a little cupcake with a whole lot of frosting, one should expect this candle to be sweet. I was not prepared for, however, how incredibly sweet this candle would burn. Good lord it is like sugar in a jar! It is so sweet it is almost sickly smelling. I just really don’t care for it. It also smells fake somehow. This really surprised me as Yankee Candle Company is known for their natural smelling scents. This however smells like the little girl dolls that they scent the plastic to try to make it smell vanilla. It doesn’t smell fresh or natural in any way. It also doesn’t have any fresh baked smell to it like many of the other baked good themed Yankee Candle Co candles.
