butter LONDON Nail Lacquer Reviews

I love this polish
It's pricey ($14.00 at ULTA), but I feel it is worth it. It really lasts and does not chip or peel. In the long run you actually save money since you don't have to reapply between manicures. I would recommend this to a friend. — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 6 people said helpful

Unbelievable Nail Polish
I cracked the top of an acrylic nail, and covered the open bare nail part with the polish I had used for the manicure. That color on the bare nail has not chipped off or peeled. I am so surprised at the quality of this polish. It's pricier than OPI, but I believe it is worth every penny. It's been over 2 weeks, and I decided to wait before I go to the manicurist. I will just have it fixed then since the break is not causing me problems keeping polish on it, and it looks just fine. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 4 people said helpful

Love the color
I love the Jaffa- its the perfect orange shade for spring/summer. I thought it went on pretty smoothly, and so far has stayed on pretty well. They are a bit pricey but I love that they are formaldehyde free. — 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Lovely
This review is about Butter London in general, not this particular collection. To begin, their polishes are pricey, but very nice. They apply evenly and are very stylish. They do dry fairly quickly and wear well. Really what you are paying for here is their very unique colors. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 4 people said helpful

Fun Product, Great Wear
I was really impressed with this product. The colors are well pigmented and last well. Part of what you are paying for is the packaging and name, but if you can find these on sale, they are well worth a bit more money. Wallis is my favorite and the Butter London colors are often quite unique. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 2 people said helpful

High quality polish
Butter London offers beautiful nail colors and the quality of their polishes are top notch. With many, just one coat offers a completely opaque manicure. These polishes don't chip or recede nearly as much as others. At $14 a polish, they are more expensive than other 3-free lacquers but the quality translates to a longer lasting manicure, which can be worth it. I only wish that Butter London polishes were more widely available in stores. Arguably my favorite nail polish brand! — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 4 people said helpful

peeled and chipped
I tried this out yesterday and only a couple of hours later it had already started chipping and peeling off. Very disappointing especially for the price. I will stick with OPI and Lippman from now on. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

Cute names
Butter London nail polishes are not as smelly as OPI, Essie, etc. However, they are thicker. I have about four and refuse to add thinner to them as they are really quite brand new (less than a month old!). The colors are amazingly true to the color you see in the bottle. I love Pink Ribbon and Macbeth. They do dry fairly quickly so if you are adding anything to them like glitter make sure to do it fast. The only down side to butter London is the price. — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

All about color
For starters, butter London is a misnomer. Although the founder is a Brit, the company is based out of Washington. And another thing: it stained my nails! I've never had a polish turn my nails yellow, and British Racing Green has made my poor talons look quite jaundiced, necessitating more nail polish to cover them while they grow out. Unlike Lippmann Collection and Pop Beauty's polishes, which back up their staggering price tags with an uber-high-quality product, butter London is average, and should cost half of what it does. I don't care how "high fashion" they claim to be, they're not better than China Glaze or OPI. The reason to buy butter London's lacquers is the colors. If you want to shell out for it, they offer a wonderful selection of fun, modern colors housed in a fashion-forward glass rectangle. — 3 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 5 people said helpful

The BEST
This is by far the best nail polish that I've found. The color selection is fun and chic and the formula is streak free and easy to work with. LOVE! — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
