This product really does make you skin feel like velvet after applying it. It does not irritate my sensitive dry combo skin or cause breakouts. This primer has a velvety texture true to the name of the product, gives you more matte look, makes your makeup go on smoothly, but it leaves a coating on my skin that feels uncomfortable for my oily skin. It gives a barrier that doesn't let my skin "breathe" and my oily skin feels trapped inside. This primer has a smooth, velvety texture, it fills in lines and covers imperfections, and gives you a nice, smooth canvas for your makeup. It is definitely one of the better primers I've tried.
