After the first evening of use, I was pleasantly surprised to find that redness in my skin had been toned down and my skin was hydrated and seemed to glow! The consistency is clear, very silicone-like and a little goes a long way! It is very moisturizing but does not leave your skin overly-oily (I have dry skin). This is the first time that I've used a product that contains retinol and did not find it irritating at all. I got a sample of this product in a three sample pairing. This, step two is my favorite by far. It makes my skin feel amazing. It is not greasy nor does it have a strong fragrance. Love love love this serum. I'm an oily person. I hate wearing moisturizers on my face, they are always so greasy. I prefer using a serum instead. Especially this serum. It goes on beautifully, it sinks right in. It contains vitamin A but it doesn't dry or make your skin flaky like the other retinol products. I'm on my second bottle.
