Good investment
I used to buy cheap sharpeners. I have two NYC Sharpeners, a free one from Clinique, one from Ulta, and one from Sephora. My friend was using this MAC sharpener, and she told me it was the best. I was skeptical at first, but when I borrowed it, I could immediately see the differences. It makes a pencil pointy (but not too dangerously pointy), and it shaves off thin layers, so there is not much waste. It is easy to clean. After getting my own, I tried all standard pencils and liners. If it fits, it shaves. Yes, I had to pay a few more dollars, but it is not a bad deal at all, considering the results. Does its job
I have had my MAC Pencil Sharpener for years and it has never let me down. It's tiny so you have to be careful not to lose it, but it's good for travel.
