Good investment

I used to buy cheap sharpeners. I have two NYC Sharpeners, a free one from Clinique, one from Ulta, and one from Sephora. My friend was using this MAC sharpener, and she told me it was the best. I was skeptical at first, but when I borrowed it, I could immediately see the differences. It makes a pencil pointy (but not too dangerously pointy), and it shaves off thin layers, so there is not much was...read morete. It is easy to clean. After getting my own, I tried all standard pencils and liners. If it fits, it shaves. Yes, I had to pay a few more dollars, but it is not a bad deal at all, considering the results. So far so good.

Does its job

I have had my MAC Pencil Sharpener for years and it has never let me down. It's tiny so you have to be careful not to lose it, but it's good for travel. It shaves the pencil down to a good point, but not too pointy.

what i expected

better than a school type pencl sharpener, but it almost leaves my eye pencils too sharp!

Great!

I used to always use retractable eye liner, mostly from MAC. But when I went to makeup shop, I saw all the regular eye pencils. I figured why spend money on a new one when I can get a good sharpener and use the regular ones I already had. So, it saved me a lot of money, AND it really really works great!

I love this sharpener!

I like how it sharpens my MAC eyeliners and yet it doesn't break off while your sharpening them compared to the cheap brand sharpeners. I definatley recommend this to everyone that are searching for a really good sharpener!

could be better...

i have bought 3 of these, and they have all broken. each one lasted about 6 months, which is reasonably long, but the plastic body broke in half after a while. it's great while it's new and the blade is super-sharp, though.
